LET US BE DISCIPLES OF
CHRIST
MATTHEW
10:1-15
“He called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive
out evil spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.”
Matthew 10:1
When
our Lord Jesus Christ began his Ministry, he called his disciples so that they
could collaborate with Him in the great work that the Father had placed in his
hands. Christ trusted in the abilities they had to learn and in their sense of
responsibility towards their service. Today we are the ones called to serve
Him. In the midst of a world of
selfishness and evil, humanity’s future depends on brotherly love, on service
to one another, on sympathy and deep understanding for others. We do not all
have the privilege of presenting an eloquent message or of rendering service
within a missionary field, but we have the ability to give testimony in our
daily lives, in our homes, in our streets, at our jobs, and among our
neighbors. The love of God in our hearts exercises an influence of
understanding and faith in others. The Lord calls us and enables us for the edification
of his Kingdom. Let us be disciples of Christ!
Prayer:
Jesus, today we are your disciples. Show us the way of love. Amen.

MATEO 10:1-15

a sus doce discípulos,
les dio autoridad sobre los espíritus inmundos,
para que los echasen afuera, y para sanar
toda enfermedad y toda dolencia”

Cuando nuestro Señor Jesucristo comenzó su Ministerio,
llamó a sus discípulos para que colaboraran con Él en la gran tarea que el
Padre había puesto en sus manos. Cristo confió en la capacidad que ellos tenían
para aprender y el sentido de responsabilidad en el servicio. Hoy nosotros
somos llamados para servirle. En medio de un mundo de egoísmo y maldad el
futuro del ser humano estriba en el amor fraternal, en el servicio, la simpatía
y profunda comprensión con nuestros semejantes. No todos tenemos el privilegio
de presentar un elocuente mensaje ni realizar un servicio abnegado en un campo
misionero, pero tenemos la facultad de dar testimonio en nuestra vida
cotidiana, en nuestra casa, en la calle, en nuestro trabajo, con nuestros
vecinos. El amor de Dios en nuestros corazones ejerce una influencia de
comprensión y fe en los demás. El
Señor nos llama y capacita para la
edificación de su Reino. ¡Seamos
discípulos de Cristo!
Oración: Jesús, hoy somos tus discípulos
y discípulas. Muéstranos el camino del amor. Amén.
