 YOU ARE WITH ME, LORD 

PSALM 23
“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.”

Psalm 23:1
 

What a beautiful sense of security this psalm, which we have heard and repeated a thousand times since childhood, provides for us!  It shows us how to bear witness to God’s love.  Psalm 23 supports us in those times we consider the most difficult moments of our lives.  It invites us to place ourselves entirely in His arms. There are times when we feel discontented and fearful, tempted and tested and we forget the Lord, not seeking his guidance or protection. If we turn to Him, we will receive his divine help and He will show us where to follow, because he is our good shepherd.

 If we wish to avoid getting lost or disoriented, it is necessary to trust in his promises and to learn more through prayer and through studying the Bible. This is the only way that we will be able to understand the paternal spirit of God.  Let us seek his hand and never let go of it.

Prayer: Help us, Father, in each instance of our lives, to find a sure refuge in you. Amen.

SALMO 23

“Jehová es mi pastor, nada me faltará…”

Salmo 23:1

¡Qué hermosa seguridad nos brinda este Salmo, que desde niños repetimos una y  mil veces! Él nos enseña a testificar el amor de Dios. El Salmo 23 nos brinda apoyo en los momentos que creemos más difíciles de nuestra vida. Nos invita a entregarnos plenamente en sus brazos.  A veces nos sentimos descontentos y temerosos, vienen tentaciones y pruebas y nos olvidamos del Señor, no buscando su dirección y amparo. Si acudimos a Él, recibiremos su ayuda divina y nos indicará el camino a seguir, porque es nuestro buen pastor.

Para no andar errantes y desorientados, es menester confiar en sus promesas y aprender más por medio de la oración y estudio de la Biblia. Así solamente llegaremos a comprender el espíritu paternal de Dios. Busquemos su mano y no la dejemos jamás.

Oración: Ayúdanos, Padre, a encontrar en cada situación de nuestra vida, un refugio seguro en ti. Amén.
