Sunday, December 21 I AM, BUT YOU ARE NOT REVELATION 3:7-13

Sunday, December 21
I AM, BUT YOU ARE NOT
                                                                                                                                                    REVELATION 3:7-13
“I know your deeds.”
Revelation 3:8
One of the problems in the Church in Philadelphia was the ongoing discussion about who were the true heirs to the promise made to Abraham. “Those who claim to be Jews though they are not” may refer to the Jews who refused to accept Jesus, such as the Christians who insisted on complying with the entire law.  The issue of open and closed doors plays an important role in the letter.

Unfortunately there are people who believe that they have the power to say who is saved and who is not, who enjoys God’s favor, and who does not.  And this is almost always done based on what a specific group thinks is correct.

If the Christians in Philadelphia were now being excluded by certain “false Jews,” they should not be worried about them, because it is not they, but Jesus, who has the true key and who has opened the door for them that nobody can close.

Prayer: This Christmas we wish to reaffirm our conviction that you have been born for each human being.  You have come into this world of ours in order to call us all, brothers and sisters, sons and daughters of one Father alone.  Amen.

YO SI, PERO TU NO
                                                                                                                                                     Apocalipsis 3:7-13
“Yo sé todo lo que haces”
Apocalipsis 3:8
