COMPLICATED LIFE

Proverbs 5

I didn’t listen to the voice of my instructor.  I didn’t obey my teacher.

Prov. 5:13 (CEB)

There is no doubt that life is very complex. And what is the same—we make life more and more difficult. With that we call personality, character and genius, we go from one crisis to propel ourselves toward another crisis at a dizzying speed. When we have a breather, we compare the quality of our existence with the lives of our neighbors, those who are around us and those whom we secretly envy.  It bothers us when others are going along with apparently no problems while we undo ourselves in situations that do not have a visible solution.  And then we speak of quality of life:  it is not enough to live, but we have to live well.  Much of this better life that we have in front of us is the sign of money. Because without money, we believe we can not live better.

When Mahatma Gandhi faced the powerful British empire, he did it with only the strength of his ideas.  And he brought his country to independence. When Mother Teresa of Calcutta went into the leper colonies to care for those who were evicted–she did not wait for any recognition or team of people to help her.  When Jesus Christ lived out his ministry among humans, his poverty perhaps made an impact on many.  However, he changed the lives of millions of people.

Prayer: Lord, free us from the temptations of life and help us to route ourselves to find you in that which you teach: the Bible, to live better and better serve our neighbor.  Amen,

LA VIDA COMPLEJA.

Proverbios 5
