WHAT WOULD WE DO IN ETERNITY?

Psalm 45: 1-17

I will perpetuate your memory through all generations; therefore, the nations will praise you forever and ever.

Psalm 45: 17 (NIV)

            This psalm is a prophecy of the Messiah the Prince, and it indicates him to be the husband who marries the church to himself; as the King who reigns in her and for her.

            This entails what the church has been doing and perfecting for centuries before passing into the eternity reserved for the elect. For what does the Lord prepare us in the church, inside and outside of her? In addition to the many things such as: Hearing His Word, learning, glorifying Him, honoring him, interceding, repenting, evangelizing, witnessing,  and meeting in the community, these should be seen as training, and preparation to apply them in eternity.

            The great contribution of the Reformation of the 16^th century and up to today is the perfecting of these actions in the enduring life that begins by opening our hearts to the Christ. So, our invitation is to enjoy what God has prepared for us each time we gather. I remember a sister saying repeatedly: THE CHURCH MUST BE LOVED.

 

Prayer: Our Father, continue preparing us to enjoy  your Church in the mission to make us feel closer to You and your Kingdom that nourishes us with love, faith, hope, joy, wisdom, repentance, forgiveness, gratitude, and peace. In the name above all names. Amen.

¿QUE HARÍAMOS EN LA ETERNIDAD?

Salmo 45: 1-17

Haré perpetua la memoria de tu nombre en todas las generaciones, por tanto, los pueblos te alabarán eternamente y por siempre.

Salmo 45: 17

            Este salmo es una profecía del Mesías Príncipe, y lo señala como el esposo que desposa  consigo a la iglesia,  como Rey que reina en ella y por ella.

            Esto conlleva lo que la Iglesia ha estado haciendo y perfeccionando durante siglos antes de pasar a la eternidad  reservada a los escogidos. ¿Para que el Señor nos prepara en la iglesia, dentro y fuera de ella? Además de las múltiples cosas como: oír Su Palabra, aprender, glorificarle, honrarle, agradecerle, interceder, arrepentirse, evangelizar, testimoniar y reunirse en comunidad, se debe ver como un entrenamiento y capacitación para aplicarlas en la eternidad.

            La gran contribución de la Reforma del siglo XVI y hasta hoy es el perfeccionamiento de estas acciones en la vida perdurable que empieza al abrirle nuestros corazones a Cristo. Por eso, nuestra invitación es a disfrutar lo que nuestro Dios nos tiene preparado cada vez que nos reunimos en ella. Recuerdo a una hermana expresar repetidamente: A LA IGLESIA HAY QUE AMARLA.

 

Oración: Padre Nuestro, sigue capacitándonos para disfrutar de tu Iglesia en la misión de hacernos sentir más cerca de Ti y tu Reino que nos nutre con amor, fe esperanza, gozo, sabiduría, arrepentimiento, perdón, gratitud y paz. En el nombre sobre todo nombre. Amén.
