Let Us Live Wisely

Ephesians 5:1-20

 So be careful to live your life wisely, not foolishly.

Ephesians  5:15 (CEB)

Many people relate wisdom to:

            Having a practical attitude to life.

            Regulating emotions.

            Feeling compassion, empathy and being altruistic.

            Knowing your own virtues and weaknesses.

            Having  the ability to make decisions.

            Knowing how to deal with uncertainty.

However, true wisdom comes from God. Being wise people consists in doing the will of God and having the major challenge of discovering what his will is for our lives.

The God in whom we trust is love. Like our mother and father, she/he wants happy people, people who live in fullness and liberty; people who as part of this happiness strive so that those around them can have it too. In this resides the will of our Lord Jesus Christ. To achieve this, it is necessary to take advantage of the opportunities that God places in our paths, not staying in paralysis, but taking advantage of each moment and always being grateful for this gift of God: his presence and wisdom in our lives.

 

Prayer:  Enable us Lord to do your will and to grow in your wisdom. Amen.

Vivamos sabiamente

Efesios 5:1-20

Así que tengan cuidado de su manera de vivir. No vivan como necios sino como sabios

Efesios 5:15

Muchas personas relacionan la sabiduría con:

            Tener una actitud práctica ante la vida.

            Regular las emociones.

            Sentir compasión, empatía y ser altruista.

            Conocer sus propias virtudes y debilidades.

            Tener capacidad para tomar decisiones.

            Saber lidiar con la incertidumbre.

Sin embargo, la verdadera sabiduría proviene de Dios. Ser personas sabias consiste en hacer la voluntad de Dios, teniendo como desafío mayor el descubrir cuál es su voluntad para nuestras vidas.

El Dios en quien nos confiamos es Amor. Como Madre y Padre nuestro, nos quiere personas felices, personas que vivan en libertad y plenamente, personas que como parte de esta felicidad, libertad y plenitud,  se empeñen para que quienes les rodean también puedan serlo. En esto reside la voluntad de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Para lograrlo es preciso aprovechar las oportunidades que Dios coloca en nuestros caminos, no quedarnos en la parálisis, sino aprovechar cada momento y siempre agradeciendo por este regalo de Dios: la presencia de su SABIDURÍA en nuestras vidas.

 

Oración: Capacítanos Señor para hacer tu voluntad y crecer en tu sabiduría. Amén
