JESUS WALKS ON THE WATER

Matthew 14:22-32

But when he noticed the strong wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!”

            It is said that a man and his family were returning to their home in a car, when suddenly a breakdown occurred in a remote place where, in the distance, a little town could be seen. It was getting dark and tension began to increase; it was a difficult breakage to fix.

            As Peter, when he began to sink, called out for the Lord to save him, in the same way this  family did the same thing. Immediately Jesus responded, reached out his hand as he did in the text. Suddenly a man appeared who lived nearby and had the solution to the problem. What a powerful Jesus!

            We must not allow doubt to sink us in the midst of the waters as happened to Peter. Let’s be convinced of Jesus’ presence in our lives. He is always attentive to our difficulties to solve them according to his will. So let us keep our gaze fixed on our Savior. He will guard us and keep us in the palm of his hand.

 

Prayer: Lord, thank you for your blessings. Don’t let our faith be broken by the difficult situations in our lives. Strengthen us. Amen.

JESÚS CAMINA SOBRE EL AGUA

Mateo 14:22-32

Pero al ver el fuerte viento, tuvo miedo y comenzó a hundirse. Entonces gritó:¡Señor, sálvame!

            Cuentan que venía un señor con su familia de regreso a casa en un auto, y de repente, le ocurre una avería en un lugar apartado donde se divisaba a lo lejos, un pueblo pequeño. Estaba oscureciendo, la tensión comenzó a aumentar; era una rotura difícil de solucionar.

            Como Pedro que, cuando comenzó a hundirse, clamó por el Señor para que lo salvara, de la misma manera lo hizo aquella familia. Al instante Jesús respondió, extendió su mano como en el texto. Inmediatamente apareció un hombre que vivía cerca de allí y tenía la solución del problema. ¡Qué Jesús tan poderoso!

            No permitamos que la duda nos hunda en medio de las aguas, como le sucedió a Pedro. Estemos convencidos de la presencia de Jesús en nuestras vidas. Él siempre está atento a nuestras dificultades, para solucionarlas según su voluntad. Entonces mantengamos la mirada fija en nuestro Salvador. Él nos guiará y nos sostendrá en la palma de su mano.

 

Oración: Señor, gracias por tus bendiciones. No permitas que nuestra fe sea quebrantada por las situaciones difíciles en nuestra vida. Fortalécenos. Amén.
