GOD IS YOUR KEEPER

Psalm 121

He will not let your foot be moved: he who keeps you will not slumber.

Psalm 121:3 (NRSV)

            When we are small, we are under the care of our parents or another person, and whenever something happens to us, as insignificant as it might be, we run immediately into their arms or are crying for their attention. 

            We can find this same protection in God.  He created us and knows our needs, and therefore God merits all of our faith and trust.

            Precisely what we need is help! We need ongoing and powerful help that comes only from God.  God’s protection is caring, and no detail escapes God.  Only an infinite God can put such attention to details so constantly to the millions of believers in the world.

            We should have full security in God, as the psalmist says, God does not only guard against danger in the path, but also against all evil. 

            What happiness that this protection is secure, from now to forever! 

 

Prayer: Beloved Father, we implore you to guard our going in and our going out from now to forever.  Amen.

JEHOVA ES TU GUARDADOR

Salmo 121

No dará tu pie al resbaladero ni se dormirá el que te guarda....

Salmo 121:3

            Cuando somos pequeños estamos al cuidado de nuestros padres o de otra persona,  y siempre que algo nos sucede, por insignificante que sea, inmediatamente vamos corriendo a sus brazos o lloramos para llamar su atención.

            Esa misma protección la podemos encontrar en Dios. Él nos creó  y conoce nuestras necesidades, por eso merece toda nuestra fe y confianza en Él.

            Precisamente lo que necesitamos es socorro, ayuda. Ayuda continua y poderosa que sólo viene de Dios. Su protección es cuidadosa,  no se le escapa ningún detalle. Sólo un Dios infinito puede poner tal atención en detalles, tan constantemente, a los millones de creyentes que existen.

            Debemos tener plena seguridad en Dios, como el salmista, pues Él no solo nos guarda del peligro del camino, sino de todo mal.

            ¡Qué alegría  nos da que esta protección es segura, desde ahora y para siempre!

 

Oración: Padre amado,  te imploramos que guardes nuestra entrada y nuestra salida desde ahora y para siempre. Amén
