THE SUPREMACY OF LOVE

1 CORINTHIANS 13:1-13

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast,

it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self seeking,

it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

1Corinthians 13:4-7

Without love the greatest manifestations of gifts and the most heroic of sacrifices mean nothing.

Love:

            Is suffered, on being patient with the imperfections of others.

            Is benign, it works for the good.

            Does not envy, is not possessive and competitive, rather, it desires the best for others.

            It does not brag, makes no ostentation of itself.

            Is not unseemly, does not treat others with arrogance, doesn’t behave rudely, rather with 

            courtesy and good manners.

            Is not self-seeking, doesn’t insist on its rights, is generous.

            Does not become irritated but maintains its composure.

            Does not hold rancor but dismisses resentment.

            Does not take pleasure in injustice, rather in truth.

           

Suffers all, in defending and sustaining others.

            Believes the best of others.

            Hopes for the best in everything, never is discouraged, believes in its future.

            Endures everything, on preserving and remaining until the end.

           

Prayer:  Beloved Father, be patient and teach us to love as you do. In Jesus we ask it of you. Amen.

LA SUPREMACÍA DEL AMOR

1CORINTIOS 13:1-13

El amor es sufrido, es benigno, el amor no tiene envidia, el amor no es jactancioso, no se envanece; no hace nada indebido, no busca lo suyo, no se irrita, no guarda rencor, no se goza de la injusticia, mas se goza de la verdad. Todo lo sufre, todo lo cree, todo lo espera, todo lo soporta.

1Corintios 13:4-7

Sin amor la mayor manifestación de dones y el más heroicos de los sacrificios no significan nada, El amor:  

Es sufrido, al ser pacientes con las imperfecciones de las personas.

Es benigno, hace bien.

No envidia, no es posesivo y competitivo, sino que desea lo mejor para los demás.

No es jactancioso, no hace ostentación de si mismo.

No es indecoroso, no trata a otros con arrogancia, no se comporta con rudeza, sino con cortesía y buenas maneras.

No busca lo suyo, no insiste en sus derechos, es generoso.

No se irrita, mantiene la compostura.

No guarda rencor, borra el resentimiento.

No se goza de la injusticia, goza de la verdad.

Todo lo sufre, al defender y sostener a otros.

Cree lo mejor de los demás.

Todo lo espera, no se desanima, cree en su futuro.

El amor, todo lo soporta, al perseverar y permanecer leal hasta el final.

Oración: Padre amado, sé paciente y enséñanos a amar, como tú lo haces, por Jesús te lo pedimos. Amen.
