THE FAITHFUL FRIEND

2 TIMOTHY 4:16-18

But the Lord was at my side… (NIV)

2 Timothy 4:17a

Many of us have felt abandoned. Some loved one has left us, ignored us, or when we most needed help no one reached out a hand. The Apostle Paul teaches us not to be disheartened in these circumstances.   

Jesus is always with us. When our faith is in him and we interact with the Holy Spirit, his presence will always be with us.

He is a friend who will never leave us. His friendship is the most important relationship we have. To embrace his word will help us to remember him every day.  

Our strength is in God. Through the Holy Spirit we accede to the power of his grace. If we depend on the Lord, we’ll find the fortitude only God can give.

Paul lived through many difficult times without the help of friends; but his outlook remained hopeful because Christ was his faithful friend. I choose to be the Lord’s friend.

Prayer: I choose to be your friend, God. I know there’s no other better than you. Amen.

EL AMIGO FIEL

2 TIMOTEO 4:16-18

Pero el Señor estuvo a mi lado…

2 Timoteo 4:17a

            Muchos nos hemos sentido abandonados. Algún ser querido nos dejó, nos ignoró, o cuando necesitábamos más ayuda, nadie nos tendió la mano. El apóstol Pablo nos enseña a no desanimarnos en estas circunstancias.

            Jesús siempre está con nosotros. Cuando nuestra fe está en Él y nos relacionamos con el Espíritu Santo, su compañía siempre estará con nosotros.

            Él es un amigo que nunca nos dejará. Su amistad es la relación más importante que tenemos. Abrazarnos a su Palabra nos ayudará a recordarlo cada día.

            En Dios están nuestras fuerzas. A través del Espíritu Santo accedemos al poder de su gracia. Si dependemos  del Señor, encontraremos la fortaleza que sólo Dios puede dar.

Pablo vivió muchos momentos fuertes sin la ayuda de amigos. Pero su actitud se mantuvo esperanzada porque Cristo eres su Amigo fiel. Elijo ser amigo del Señor.

Oración:   Yo elijo ser tu amigo, Dios. Sé que no hay otro mejor que tú. Amén.
