LIVING OUR SPIRITUALITY

JOHN  6: 63-68

The spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoke to you – they are full of the Spirit and life.

John 6: 63 NIV

Spiritual life is extremely important in order to live according to the teachings that God transmits to us through the Bible. We can only make the right decisions in our daily lives when we have a close communication with God and ask for guidance and advice in a given reality. Therefore, it is necessary to explore new ways to increase our spirituality and strengthen our faith. 

When we set our eyes on earthly things we are overcome by selfishness, ambition, and  the need for power. Let us remember that these were the root causes of many failures. However, when we set our eyes on the glory of God, we are filled with hope and joy. It is as if we breathe the breath of life in a refreshing, pleasant way that makes us feel full and full of good desires. Jesus invites us through his Word to seek the guidance of the Spirit by faith and not by our human perception. For it is the Spirit who puts in us all those feelings of love, humility and simplicity. He is the one who allows us to be willing to forgive and to face the complex situations of life without being consumed by despair, anguish and fear of the future.

 

Prayer: God of life, allow us to live our spirituality in a deeper way and leave aside those earthly prejudices that distance us from you. Amen..

VIVAMOS NUESTRA ESPIRITUALIDAD

Juan 6: 63-68

El espíritu es el que da vida; la carne no sirve para nada. Las palabras que os he dicho son espíritu y son vida.

Juan 6: 63

La vida espiritual es de extrema importancia para poder vivir acorde a las enseñanzas que nos transmite Dios a través de la Biblia. Solamente podemos tomar decisiones acertadas en nuestra cotidianidad cuando tenemos una estrecha comunicación con Dios, para pedir orientación y consejos ante una determinada realidad. Por lo que se hace necesario explorar nuevas maneras de incrementar nuestra espiritualidad y fortalecer nuestra fe.

Cuando ponemos nuestros ojos en cosas terrenales nos vence el egoismo, la ambición, la necesidad de poder. Recordemos que estas fueron causas fundamentales de muchos fracasos. Sin embargo, cuando ponemos nuestra mirada en la gloria de Dios, nos llenamos de esperanza y alegria. Es como si respiráramos el aliento de la vida de manera refrescante, agradable, que nos hace sentirnos personas plenas y llenas de buenos deseos. Jesús invita a que a través de su Palabra busquemos la guia del Espiritu por la fe y no por nuestra percepción humana. Pues es el Espiritu quien pone en nosotros todos esos sentimientos de amor, de humildad, de sencillez. Es quien permite que tengamos disposición para perdonar y afrontar las situaciones complejas de la vida sin consumirnos en la desesperación, en la angustia y el miedo al futuro.

 

Oración: Dios de la vida, permite que podamos vivir nuestra espiritualidad de una manera más profunda y dejemos a un lado esos prejuicios carnales que nos alejan de ti. Amén.
