THE EYES OF ETERNAL SALVATION

John 3: 14-21

Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that all who believe may have eternal life. (NIV)

John 3:14-15

What are our anxieties and fears? How many deserts and how many moments of storm appear in our daily lives? How to discover the flashes of light in the midst of dark circumstances? These are questions that allow us to understand that everything that happens in our lives is not “rosy.”

As human beings, we need urgent responses to difficult situations. However, many do not find the path to continue, nor the pillars to support them.

Lent must motivate God’s people to remember the history of Israel in the desert; You have to discover the leadership of Moses and the salvation of the serpent in these times. How to raise the Son of Man? How can we not lose our true direction in the face of so much crisis? By looking only into the eyes of God!

Let us not wait any longer to recognize Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior! Let us deposit our dreams and our burdens in him, so we can rest.

Raise him up! Dare to look him in the face! Try to discover in his eyes the good taste of spiritual healing. Trust! Don’t back away or give up! Be strong. Believe! Do not miss the aim! You will have eternal life.

 

Prayer: God of Salvation, we want to look at the light that is in your eyes. Today we thank you for your trust and daily sustenance. We long to be saved so as not to lose sight of the path to your Kingdom. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior, Amen.

LOS OJOS DE LA SALVACIÓN ETERNA

Juan 3: 14-21

Y como Moisés levantó la serpiente en el desierto, así es necesario que el Hijo del hombre sea levantado, para que todo aquel que en él cree, no se pierda, mas tenga vida eterna.

Juan 3:14-15

¿Cuáles son nuestras angustias y temores? ¿Cuántos desiertos y cuántos momentos de tormenta asoman en nuestra vida cotidiana? ¿Cómo descubrir los destellos de luz en medio de las circunstancias de oscuridades? Son interrogantes que nos permiten entender que todo lo que acontece en nuestras vidas no es ‘color de rosas’.

Como seres humanos, tenemos necesidad de respuestas urgentes para las situaciones difíciles. Sin embargo, muchos no encuentran el camino para continuar, ni los pilotes para su sostén.

La Cuaresma tiene que motivar al pueblo de Dios a rememorar la historia de Israel en el desierto; tiene que descubrir el liderazgo de Moisés y la salvación de la serpiente en estos tiempos. ¿Cómo levantar al Hijo del Hombre? ¿Cómo no perder el verdadero rumbo ante tanta crisis? ¡Mirando sólo a los ojos de Dios!

¡No esperemos más para reconocer a Jesucristo como nuestro Señor y Salvador! Depositemos nuestros sueños y nuestras cargas en Él...para así poder descansar.

¡Levántalo! ¡Anímate a mirarle de frente! Intenta descubrir en sus ojos el buen sabor de la sanación espiritual. ¡Confía! ¡No te apartes ni te rindas! Sé fuerte. ¡Cree! ¡No te pierdas! Y tendrás la vida eterna.

 

Oración: Dios de Salvación, queremos mirar la luz que hay en tus ojos. Hoy te agradecemos por tu confianza y sustento diario. Anhelamos ser salvos para no perder de vista las sendas de tu Reino. En el nombre de Jesucristo, nuestro Salvador, Amén.
