YOU KNOW WHERE TO KEEP ME

Luke 4: 24-30

Truly I tell you, no prophet is accepted in the prophet’s hometown.

Luke 4: 24 (NRSV)

We are clothed in God. We are God’s instruments, called to announce and proclaim the good news of God’s Reign in all the earth. Sometimes this Reign is not in our own home, with our own people or in our own land. Sometimes we are not seen as what we profess.  We don’t percieve how much disbelief or discomfort those feel who knew us before and now see us walking firmly and securely in what we believe! Who could predict it? Who could predict that one day God was going to choose you to give good news, to heal the spirit of those whose lives are sad or lost in the midst of the nostalgia of life or to discover gifts and go in the freedom that God’s own self gives you?

The most important thing is knowing that God has chosen you and that you must respond with the assurance that God will give you what you need to be accepted and heard where God places you. Do not be afraid or ashamed. Be yourself, do not accommodate yourself to others, let yourself be guided by God.

All that you need is in your hands. Proclaim, announce, sing, dance, shout about the benefits that God has placed in your life and you will be heard in the place and in the precise moment where God has placed you.

 

Prayer: Beloved God, thank you for choosing me, for showing me the way to announce you. I want ot continue to proclaim your Reign where you want me to be. Amen.

TU SABES DONDE TENERME

Lucas 4: 24-30

“Ningún profeta es acepto en su propia tierra”

Lucas 4: 24

De Dios estamos revestidos. Somos instrumentos suyos, llamados a anunciar y proclamar la buena noticia de su Reino en toda la tierra. A veces ese Reino no está en nuestra propia casa, con nuestra propia gente o en nuestra propia tierra. A veces no somos vistos como lo que profesamos. ¡Cuánta incredulidad o desconfianza no percibimos de quienes nos conocieron antes y ahora nos ven andar con firmeza y seguridad en lo que creemos! ¡Quién lo diría!.. ¿Quién diría que un día Dios te iba a escoger para dar buenas noticias, para sanar el alma de quienes viven tristes o perdidos en medio de las nostalgias de la vida o para descubrir dones, y andar en la libertad que Dios mismo te da?

Lo más importante es saber que Dios te ha escogido y que tú has de responder con la seguridad de que te dará lo que necesites para ser aceptado y escuchado donde Él te coloque. No sientas temor, ni vergüenza. Sé tú mismo (a), no te acomodes a los demás, déjate guiar por Dios.

Todo lo que necesitas está en sus manos. Proclama, anuncia, canta, danza, grita las bondades que Dios ha hecho en tu vida y serán escuchadas en el lugar y en el momento preciso donde Dios te ha puesto.

 

Oración: Dios amado. Gracias por escogerme. Por mostrarme el camino para anunciarte. Quiero seguir proclamando tu Reino donde tú quieras que esté. Amén.
