MY GIFTS AT YOUR SERVICE

Isaiah 50:4-9

It is the Sovereign Lord who helps me. Who will condemn me?

Isaiah 50:9a (NIV)

For the people of Christ there is no doubt of the presence of God in every moment of our lives, no matter the situation we are going through, we do it with the certainty of the company of that God who does not abandon us.

We affirm, without a doubt, that every battle we fight has been sustained by Him. What we find difficult, at times, is to respond to the call of that same God, to serve others, to make available the gifts we have received from Him to those around us.

Isaiah reminds us that the best way to use our abilities, knowledge, aptitudes, and gifts is to put them to use helping those who need us. To serve our neighbors is to serve this same God whom we ask not to abandon us. The Christian vocation is one of service, of dedication, of respect and responsibility for others. When we recognize what God has given us, we cannot possess it in a selfish way, but rather, we can use it in the building of his Kingdom.

 

Prayer: God, use my gifts for good. Allow me to reach out to those who need us in the same way that You are always with me, sustaining and protecting me. Amen.

MIS DONES A SU SERVICIO

Isáias 50:4-9

¡Fíjense bien! Dios el Señor es quien me ayuda; ¿Quién puede condenarme?...

Isaias 50:9a

Para el pueblo cristiano no hay dudas de la presencia de Dios en todo momento de nuestras vidas, no importa la situación que estemos atravesando lo hacemos con la certeza de la compañia de ese Dios que no nos abandona.

Afirmamos, sin lugar a dudas que cada batalla que libramos ha sido sostenida por Él. Lo que se nos hace dificil, en ocasiones, es responder al llamado de ese mismo Dios, de servir a otras y otros, poner a disposición de quien nos rodean los dones que recibimos de Él.

Isaias nos recuerda que la mejor forma de usar capacidades, saberes, aptitudes, dones, es ponerlo en función de ayudar a quienes nos necesitan. Servir a nuestros semejantes, es servir a ese mismo Dios al cual le rogamos que no nos abandone. La vocación cristiana, es de servicio, de entrega, de respeto y responsabilidad por el otro y la otra. Lo que reconocemos que Dios nos ha dado, no podemos poseerlo en una actitud egoista, sino usarlo en la construcción de su Reino.

 

Oración: Dios, usa mis dones para el bien. Permite que pueda llegar a quienes nos necesitan de la misma manera que tú siempre me acompañas, sostienes y proteges. Amén
