STOP BEING MUTES

MATTHEW 10:16-25

“…do not worry about what to say or how to say it.

At that time you will be given what to say”

Matthew 10:19

Can we live without speaking to each other? Of course not! We should speak to each other, tell each other things, communicate. At times we think that deaf people don’t communicate well; nevertheless, I can tell you that those people seek means of interaction, and they do it in effective ways. We need to understand how important it is to communicate with one another. Can you imagine how horrible it would be if we lived at home with our families and weren’t able to communicate?

I believe our Lord may feel that very same sensation, because we have the privilege and the blessing of speaking with Him and we don’t use it. When was the last time you spoke to Him? When you told him your dreams, your problems, and your fears? When you told Him how marvelous and great He is to you? Speaking with our Celestial Father is more important than speaking with any of the people around us. But at times we cut short the communication. We don’t tell Him what’s happening to us, what pleases us or what pains us. And if it’s certain that God knows us – knows everything inside us – He waits patiently every day that we may come into His presence, that we may draw closer to Him and tell Him everything.

Now is the time to achieve effective means of communication with God through prayer, Bible reading, and our participation in community events. Speak to Him and listen to His voice.

Prayer:  Thank you Jesus, because we can always ask you for everything, speaking with you daily, and we know you listen. We ask to have more time and desire to speak with you each day to tell you our concerns. Amen.

MATEO 10: 16-25

“No se preocupen por lo que van a decir, ni cómo lo dirán, porque en ese momento Dios le indicará lo que deben hacer”

¿Podemos vivir sin comunicarnos? ¡Claro que no! Debemos hablarnos, decirnos cosas, comunicarnos. A veces pensamos que las personas sordas no se comunican bien, sin embargo puedo decirles que estas personas buscan la manera de comunicarse y lo hacen de formas muy efectivas. Es necesario que comprendamos cuán importante es comunicarnos ¿Se imaginan que horrible sería si viviéramos con nuestras familias dentro de las casas y no pudiéramos comunicarnos?

Creo que esa misma sensación debe sentir nuestro Señor, porque tenemos el privilegio y la bendición de hablar con Él y no lo hacemos. ¿Cuándo fue la última vez que hablaste con Él? ¿Cuándo le constaste tus sueños, tus problemas, tus miedos? ¿Cuándo le dijiste lo maravilloso y grande que Él es para ti? Hablar con nuestro Padre Celestial es más importante que hablar con cualquiera de las personas que nos rodean. Pero a veces cortamos la comunicación. No le contamos lo que nos pasa, lo que nos gusta o nos duele. Y si bien es cierto que Dios nos conoce y sabe todo nuestro interior, cada día pacientemente espera que vayamos a su presencia, que nos acerquemos a Él y le digamos todo. Es tiempo de lograr maneras efectivas de comunicarnos con Dios, a través de la oración, la lectura de la Biblia, nuestra participación en espacios comunitarios. Hablémosle y escuchemos su voz.

Oración: Gracias Jesús, porque siempre podemos pedirte todo hablando contigo cada día y sabemos que tú nos escuchas. Te pedimos tener más tiempo y ganas de hablar contigo cada día para contarte nuestras cosas. Amén.
