ALPHA AND OMEGA
REVELATION 1:8
“’I am the Alpha and the Omega’ says the
Lord God, ‘who is, and who is to come, the Almighty.’”

We often endure difficult experiences that
test our faith. Fear and lack of optimism leave us without the resources to
discern God’s message with clarity. Do
we perhaps need to seek solutions elsewhere? These and others are the piercing
questions that reach us. The message of
Revelation is a song of hope in the midst of the desperation of the Christians
of that time. Today humanity also
experiences moments of pain, but it is important to cling to God and to
acknowledge Him as the beginning and the end of our lives. Affirming that Jesus Christ is Alpha and
Omega is testifying that God exceeds our expectations, as He is before and
after and there is nothing superior to Him.
When our walk is in sync with God, when our devotional life is truly
satisfactory, we can have the certainty that, not only does God speak to us,
but that God is the only way, the only response, and that apart from Him there
is no salvation.
Prayer: Lord, do not
allow me to seek you elsewhere; take me by the hand so that if I slip, I will
feel your power rescuing me like the shepherd who gives his life for his sheep.
Amen.
ALFA Y OMEGA
APOCALIPSIS 1:8
“Yo soy el Alfa y la
Omega, dice el Señor Dios, «Aquel que es, que era y que va a venir», el
Todopoderoso.”

Con frecuencia
sufrimos experiencias difíciles que prueban nuestra fe. El miedo y la falta de
optimismo nos dejan sin recursos para discernir con claridad el mensaje de
Dios. ¿Acaso tendremos que buscar soluciones en otra parte? Esta y otras son
las interrogantes lacerantes que llegan hasta nosotros. El mensaje de
Apocalipsis es un canto de esperanza en medio de la desesperación de los
cristianos/as de entonces. Hoy la humanidad también vive momentos de dolor, mas
es preciso aferrarnos a Dios y reconocerle como el principio y fin de nuestras
vidas. Afirmar que Jesucristo es Alfa y Omega, es testificar que Dios supera
nuestras expectativas, pues Él es antes y después y nada hay superior a Él.
Cuando nuestro andar está en sintonía con Dios, cuando nuestra vida devocional
es realmente satisfactoria, podemos tener la certeza, no solo de que Dios nos
habla, sino que Dios es el único camino, la única respuesta y que fuera de Él
no hay salvación.
Oración: Señor, no permitas que te
busque en otras partes, tómame de tu mano de tal manera que, al resbalar sienta
que tu poder me rescata cual pastor que da la vida por sus ovejas. Amén.
