A PLACE TO RETURN

PSALM 71:1-3

“Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go”

Psalm 71:3

In response to the question:  “What is your favorite place?” many of us would start thinking about a place that brought back good memories of the past. Others would think that there were so many that they couldn't decide.  Others yet would say that they do not have a special place and would admit that the world is their home.  But there is another group that would be saddened by the sudden realization that it has not yet been found.

I've always wondered what a place should have in order to turn into something marvelous. Someone very wise told me: “Don’t look any further; wherever Jesus is, that is the place, there you will find love, a smile, and an extended friendly hand, and it is there that you will want to return."

God invites us to return to Him again and again.  We will not lose our way toward the place He has reserved for us.  

Prayer: Lord, permit us to use this devotional as a place to which we will always want to return and that when we are disoriented, we will always be able to find the way of love. Amen.

UN LUGAR DONDE REGRESAR

SALMO 71:1-3

Ante la pregunta: ¿Cual es tú lugar preferido? muchos de nosotros comenzaríamos a pensar  buscando aquel lugar que nos trae gratos recuerdos del pasado. Otros pensarían que son tantos que no podrían decidirse. Otros en cambio, dirán que no tienen el lugar especial y admitirían que el mundo es su casa. Pero  habrá otro grupo que se entristecería al darse cuenta, de pronto, que aún no lo ha encontrado.

Siempre me he preguntado qué debe tener un sitio para que se convierta en algo maravilloso. Alguien muy sabio me dijo: “No busques más, allí donde esté Jesús está ese lugar, allí donde el amor, una sonrisa y una mano amiga se extienda, es ahí adonde  querrás regresar”.

Dios nos invita a volver a Él una y otra vez. No perdamos el rumbo hacia el lugar que nos ha reservado.

Oración: Señor, permítenos hacer de este devocionario un lugar al que siempre queramos regresar y que cuando estemos desorientados podamos tomar siempre el rumbo del amor. Amén.
