TRAVELING IN FIRST CLASS

pSalm 23

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil

Psalm 23:4

I heard about a group of young people, who were absurdly detained and held in isolation in a foreign country, the government workers going through their belongings with an unhealthy slowness, while there were only minutes left to board the plane which would take them home again.

All of this created immense unease, nervousness and fear in those innocent female passengers. Their patience and calm were put to the test.  The functionaries provoked the young women to argue with them, so that they could take extreme measures with them. Time passed and nobody would answer the obvious question: Why are we being held in isolation? Finally, after four hours, the three young women were running through the airport corridor, in search of an airplane about to take off.

As they boarded the plane, another odyssey unraveled, as their seat assignments had been changed, and they all unsuccessfully tried to find their places onboard. When they asked the flight attendant for help, she explained that their economy class seats had been changed to First Class. Even today nobody knows how such a change was possible; all we know is that the three of them traveled home with all of the honors accorded to a Prime Minister.

So, if you are going through a deep crisis, remember that God has the power to turn your situation and your trials into victory.

Prayer: Lord my God, we pray that whenever we are in danger or in turmoil, you will give us the power and the possibility to change our lament into dance.  Amen.

Viajeras en primera clase

Aunque ande en valle de sombra y de muerte,

no temeré mal alguno

Salmo 23:4

Cuentan que un grupo de jóvenes fueron absurdamente detenidas e incomunicadas en un lejano país, los funcionarios  revisaban sus pertenencias con una malsana lentitud, solamente quedaban instantes para abordar el avión que las llevaría de regreso a su patria. Evidentemente todo aquello provocaba un inmenso malestar, nerviosismo y miedo en aquellas inocentes pasajeras. La paciencia y la calma eran puestas en juego. Incitaban a las muchachas a que discutieran, para así poder tomar con ellas medidas extremas. El tiempo pasaba y nadie respondía a la pregunta obvia, ¿por qué estamos incomunicadas?  Finalmente, al cabo de cuatro horas, las tres jóvenes corrían por el andén, en búsqueda de un avión a punto de despegar.  

Al subir a la aeronave, otra odisea, el  número de sus asientos había sido cambiado, y todas buscaban de manera infructuosa sus lugares en el avión. Al solicitarle ayuda a la aeromoza ella le explica que habían sido cambiados sus asientos normales por asientos con categoría VIP (primera clase). Hasta ahora nadie sabe cómo fue posible semejante cambio; solo sabemos que las tres viajaron de regreso a su país con todos los honores que se le otorgan a un primer ministro.

Así que, si usted está pasando ahora mismo una profunda crisis, piense que Dios tiene poder para revertir su situación y hacerle salir victorioso de la prueba.

Oración: Señor mi Dios, te rogamos que cada vez que estemos en peligro o en vicisitudes tú nos des el poder y la posibilidad de cambiar nuestro lamento en danza. Amén.
