MATHEMATICAL LOVE
1 Thessalonians
3:7-13
“That they
may all be one. As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be in
us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”
John 17:2
In mathematics, an exact science, if one element
is equal to another a commutative property is obeyed. For example: If “a” is
equal to “b”, then “b” is equal to “a”. But if three elements exist the
transitive property is fulfilled, according to which if “a” is equal to “b”,
and “b” is equal to “c”, then “a” is equal to “c”.
If this property of numerical equality is
satisfied, it could be extended to people in their relationship with respect to
the sentiment and expression of love; and if we were able to receive love with
the same intensity we offer others, it would be something special and marvelous,
since love would be expressed in the same condition among everyone.
This is the goal which all of us are invited to
achieve.
Prayer: Lord, we
want to love as you have taught us; help us to express and practice this love. Amen.

En
matemática, ciencia exacta, si un elemento es igual a otro se cumple la
propiedad conmutativa, por ejemplo: si “a” es igual a “b”, entonces “b” es
igual a “a”. Pero si existen tres elementos, se cumple la propiedad transitiva,
según la cual si “a” es igual a “b” y “b” es igual a “c”, entonces “a” es igual
a “c”.
Si esta propiedad de igualdad, que se cumple con los números, pudiera ser
extendida a las personas en su relación con respecto al sentimiento y expresión
del amor, y si pudiéramos recibir con la misma intensidad el amor que ofrecemos
a otros, sería algo especial y maravilloso, ya que el amor se expresaría de
igual condición entre todos. Esta es la meta a la que estamos invitados todos y
todas a alcanzar.
Oración: Señor, queremos amar como
tú nos enseñas, ayúdanos a expresar y practicar ese amor. Amén.
