Paredes
ARE WE PERFECT?
ROMANS
3:9-18
God, thank you that I am not like other
people – robbers,
evildoers, adulterers – or even like this tax
collector. (NIV)
Luke 18: 11b.
If they ask us if we’re perfect, for false modesty we’ll reply no; but
inside we’re thinking like the Pharisee who went to the temple to pray.
Today it’s a temptation to believe that the place where were born is the
best, that the neighborhood where we live is the best, that the best house of
the neighborhood is mine, and certainly, the best of my house is me.

How much we lack in understanding of that love! Why don’t you ask yourself
today, “What am I really like?”
Prayer: Good celestial Father, help me to recognize
myself as I am, and to seek in your love the complementation of my existence,
to become who you want me to be. Amen.

¿SOMOS PERFECTOS?
ROMANOS

Dios mío, te doy gracias
porque no soy como los
demás, que son ladrones,
injustos y adúlteros.
¡Ni siquiera soy como este
cobrador de impuestos!

Si nos preguntan si somos perfectos, por falsa
modestia responderemos que no. Pero probablemente en nuestro interior estaremos
pensando como el fariseo que fue al templo a orar. Hay una tentación a creernos
que el lugar donde nacimos es el mejor, que el barrio donde vivimos es el
mejor, que la mejor casa del barrio es la mía; y desde luego que el mejor de mi
casa soy yo.
El Señor nos llama a reconsiderar esta situación,
cuando nos dice: por cuanto todos pecaron. Todos somos pecadores; pero
también todos somos objetos del amor de Dios. Lo que nos queda es responder a
ese amor, sabiendo que Él en su amor se hizo semejante a nosotros. No se creyó
mejor que nosotros. ¡Cuánto nos falta por aprender de ese amor! Por qué no te
preguntas hoy ¿cómo soy en realidad?
Oración: Buen Padre
celestial, ayúdame a reconocerme tal como soy, y a buscar en tu amor la
complementación de mi existencia, para llegar a ser lo que tú quieres de mí. Amén
