GOD AROUND YOUR
TOWN
PSALM 125
Those who trust in
the Lord are like Mount Zion,
Psalm 125:1 (NRSV)
The
so-called Divine Providence is not a synonym of God, but one of the functions
of God in making provision for his creatures and for all Creation, the work of
his hands. God supplies, God provides, God sustains, God cares for His
children. In God we will do even greater
deeds than these. We need to discover and use the spiritual and moral riches of
God's provision.
Throughout
time, the selfishness of many of God’s children has caused hunger and
insufferable shortages to many other Children of God. People have not believed
that God is God of all. They have stored up for themselves, much to the
detriment of others. They have said to their soul, “Soul, you have ample goods
laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry.” (Luke 12:19)
God’s voice
rings in souls saying, “You fool! This very night your life is being demanded
of you. And the things you have prepared, whose will they be?” (12:20)
Prayer: Lord, thank you for having made provision for all of your
children. We have faith in you, the giver of all good gifts. Amen.

JEHOVA ALREDEDOR DE SU PUEBLO
SALMO 125
Los que confían en Dios son como el monte de Sión.
Salmo 125:1
La llamada Divina Providencia
no es un sinónimo de Dios, sino una de las funciones de Dios al hacer provisión
para sus criaturas y para toda la Creación, obra de sus manos. Dios suple, Dios
provee, Dios sustenta, Dios cuida de sus hijos.
En Dios haremos proezas aún
mayores que las presentes. Necesitamos descubrir y usar las riquezas
espirituales y morales de la provisión de Dios.
A través del tiempo, el
egoísmo de muchos de sus hijos ha provocado el hambre y la escasez insufribles
a muchos otros Hijos de Dios. Los hombres no han creído que Dios es Dios de
todos. Han almacenado para sí en detrimento de los demás. Han dicho a su alma:
“Come, bebe, huélgate, que muchos bie-nes tienes acumulados para ti”.
La voz de Dios resuena en las
conciencias diciendo: “Insensato, esta noche demandaran tu alma y los bienes
acumulados: ¿de qué te servirán?
Oración: Gracias Señor, porque has hecho provisión para todos tus
hijos. Confiamos en ti, dador de toda buena dádiva. Amén.
