EVERYBODY NEEDS FAITH
HEBREWS 11
Pero sin fe es imposible agradar a Dios, porque es necesario que el que se
acerque a Dios, crea que le hay, y que él recompensa a los que le buscan.
Hebrews 11: 6
Faith is the essence and gift of God. Having faith is
trusting, hoping, obeying, believing, and being safe in God. Faith expresses
the human response to the God who reveals himself with love, wisdom, and power.
Faith includes our acceptance, trust and obedience. Faith enlivens, faith
saves, faith leads us to reach the Kingdom; because where there is faith there
is love, joy and forgiveness.
We all need faith. José Martí asked himself, “Where will
people go who have lost the habit of faith?”
Luther, by means of faith, was able to battle against a world of
injustice, pride, corruption, lies, and abuse of power so that people might be
able to know God. The church has kept alive and witnessed to divine grace
despite all adversity precisely because of faith in the One who rewards those
who seek Him.
Prayer: Merciful God, today our prayer is the same as that of the
Apostles, “Increase our faith. Amen.

La fe es esencia y dádiva de
Dios. Tener fe es confiar, esperar, obedecer, creer y tener seguridad en Dios.
La fe expresa la respuesta humana al Dios que se revela con su amor, su
sabiduría, su poder.
La fe incluye nuestra
aceptación, confianza y obediencia. La fe vivifica, la fe salva, la fe nos
lleva a alcanzar el Reino; porque donde hay fe hay amor, alegría y perdón.
Todos necesitamos de fe. José
Martí se preguntó: “¿A dónde irán los hombres que hayan perdido el hábito de la
fe?” Lutero, por fe, fue capaz de luchar contra un mundo de injusticia,
egoísmo, corrupción, mentiras y abuso de poder, para que los hombres pudieran
conocer a Dios. La iglesia se ha mantenido viva y dando testimonio de la gracia
divina pese a todas las adversidades justamente por la fe en aquel que
recompensa a los que le buscan.
Oración: Dios misericordioso, hoy te pedimos lo mismo que los
Apóstoles: “aumenta nuestra fe”. Amén.
