IN GOD’S HANDS

 MATTHEW 6:25-34

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?

Matthew 6:25

We spend our lives thinking about all the things we need in order to be happy or to make someone else happy. When we have low financial means we become distressed, maybe because we don’t have as much as our neighbors. It is time to stop and take a good look at our behavior.  Let’s ask ourselves every day: How many things have we received from our merciful God? Perhaps simplicity, sensitivity and love will take over our beings and we will be able to become one of those people who contribute the most to our humanity or to our resources. Those are true riches that not everyone is lucky enough to have.

When we focus our lives on big material resources we forget that, just like the sea can never be satiated by the rivers, it also takes some work for humans to have their fill of resources.

God will provide for all of our needs; if we place ourselves in his hands, we will be able to live confidently.

Prayer: Creator of life, grant that a spiritual maturity grow within us in order to discern what is most important. Amen.

EN MANOS DE DIOS

 MATEO 6:25-34

Por tanto os digo: No os angustiéis por vuestra vida, qué habéis de comer o qué habéis de beber ni por vuestro cuerpo,

qué habéis de vestir. ¿No es la vida más

que el alimento y el cuerpo más que el vestido?

Vivimos pensando en todas las cosas que necesitamos para ser felices o para hacer feliz a alguien.

Cuando tenemos bajos recursos nos afligimos, porque tal vez no tenemos lo que tiene el vecino de al lado. Es hora de detenernos   a analizar nuestro comportamiento. Preguntémonos cada día: ¿cuántas cosas nos proporciona nuestro Dios misericordioso? Quizás la sencillez, la sensibilidad, y él amor se apoderan de nuestro ser y llegamos a ser uno de los seres que más aportamos a nuestra humanidad o a nuestros medios. Esas son verdadera riquezas que no todos tienen la dicha de tener.

Cuando enfocamos nuestra vida en los grandes recursos materiales olvidamos que, así como el mar nunca es saciado por los ríos, también a los seres humanos nos cuesta un poco de trabajo saciarnos de recursos.

Dios proveerá de todo lo necesario, si estamos en sus manos, podemos vivir confiados.

Oración: Creador de la vida,  haz crecer en nosotros la madurez espiritual para discernir qué es lo más importante. Amén
