IDENTIFIED WITH GOD AND NEIGHBOR

 JOHN 16: 32-33

Those who put their trust in the Lord…are truly happy!

 Psalm 40:4 (CEB)

In today’s world, we must continually confront problems and difficulties that many times make us fall into pessimism and sadness.  But when we feel like this, we should not become intimidated, otherwise what good is our faith and trust in God?

Trust in God makes us able to perform things that are at times difficult and incredible, that only are made possible by his great help.

Our experience as Christians in a totally secular environment reveals this sense of trust in the Lord, who is with us always, in our midst, helping us in all our tasks and needs.

Our mission in this world must be one of faithful witness to Jesus Christ, who we see in our neighbor, and our attitude toward God must be one of service and love.  But to be able to fully perform this task it is necessary to pray to the Lord constantly, to trust fully in God’s love and to ask God to use us always.  May our feeling always be like that of this hymn:

“I trust in God,

it matters not where I am,

in high seas or on land I have faith.

If tests and pain come

my beloved God cares for me with his love.”

Prayer: Lord, we trust in you and in your mercy.  Allow, Lord, that we will always have you present in our lives and that we can alleviate the burdens of our neighbor with sincere actions inspired by your love.  Amen.

IDENTIFICADOS CON DIOS Y EL PRÓJIMO

 JUAN 16: 32-33

Dichoso el que pone su confianza en el Señor

 Salmo 40:4

En nuestro mundo de hoy, tenemos que enfrentarnos continuamente con problemas y dificultades, que muchas veces nos hacen caer en el pesimismo y la tristeza. Pero cuando nos sentimos así, no debemos amedrentarnos, pues ¿de qué nos sirve entonces nuestra fe y confianza en Dios?

La confianza en Él nos lleva a realizar cosas a veces difíciles e increíbles, que solamente se hacen posibles por su gran ayuda.

Nuestra experiencia como cristianos en un ambiente totalmente secularizado, revela este sentimiento de confianza en el Señor, quien está con nosotros siempre, en medio nuestro, ayudándonos en todas nuestras tareas y necesidades.

Nuestra misión debe ser en este mundo la de un testigo fiel de Jesucristo, que se identifique con el prójimo y cuya actitud hacia Él sea de servicio y amor. Pero para poder realizar plenamente esta labor es necesario orar al Señor constantemente, confiar plenamente en su amor y pedirle que nos use en todo momento. Sea siempre  nuestro sentir como el del himno:

“Confío en Dios

no importa donde esté,

en alta mar o en tierra tengo fe.

Si vienen pruebas y dolor

mi amante Dios me cuida con su amor”

Oración: Señor, confiamos en ti y en tu misericordia. Permite Señor, que siempre te tengamos presente en nuestras vidas y que podamos aliviar las cargas de nuestro prójimo con gestos sinceros inspirados en tu amor. Amén.
