MOVING FORWARD
JOSHUA 1:6-9
Be strong and courageous… (NIV)
Joshua 1:6
No one reaches the goal in a single attempt, nor perfects life with a
single correction, nor reaches height with a single flight. No one walks through life without having made
false moves many times.
No one sees life without cowering on many occasions, or boards a ship expecting
a storm, or comes to shore without some rowing.
No one does works without working hard, no one unites two banks without
having made a bridge. No one can judge
without first having known his own weaknesses.
No one knows opportunity until it’s passed by and he’s let it escape.
But no one hesitates when one has clarity of objective, the will to fight,
the strength to recommence, abundant life for oneself and to share, the impulse
to go on despite defeats and doubts.
If you extract from yourself everything that impedes your advancing and
trust that God is with you, you could gather sufficient strength to strive and
continue ahead.
Prayer: May your strength complete my weakness,
Lord, and encourage me to live without fears. Amen.

Esfuérzate y se valiente
Josué 1:6
Nadie alcanza la meta con un solo intento, ni
perfecciona la vida con una sola rectificación, ni alcanza altura con un solo
vuelo. Nadie camina la vida sin haber pisado en falso muchas veces.
Nadie mira la vida sin acobardarse en muchas
ocasiones, ni se mete en un barco pensando en la tormenta, ni llega a la orilla
sin remar varias veces.
Nadie hace obras sin trabajar duro, nadie une dos
orillas sin haber hecho un puente.
Nadie puede juzgar sin conocer primero su debilidad.
Nadie conoce la oportunidad hasta que esta pasa por
su lado y la deja escapar.
Pero nadie deja de llegar cuando se tiene claridad
en los objetivos, voluntad para luchar, poder para recomenzar, vida abundante
para sí y para compartir, impulso para seguir a pesar de las derrotas y las
dudas.
Si sacas de ti todo lo que te impide avanzar y
confías en que Dios está contigo, podrás reunir el valor suficiente para
esforzarte y seguir adelante.
Oración: Que tu fuerza
supla mi debilidad, Señor y me anime a vivir sin temores. Amén.
