                                                         MEMBERS OF GOD’S FAMILY

                                                        EPHESIANS 2:19-22

     Consequently you are no longer foreigners (…) and are members of God’s household.

                                    Ephesians 2:19 (NIV)

Many people have said that the world’s wealth lies in the diversity of all spheres of life, that we should respect it and rejoice that it is that way. However, when that diversity is evident in the same space, those people who for some reason consider themselves the originals, leave no doubt about who is in charge. So they forget that for God there are no differences but diversity, and therefore, EVERY person is worthy to join in building, as it says in the scripture the temple where the Lord himself is the cornerstone.

Why does this still happen? It is hard for us to accept that we are no longer foreigners from the exact moment that we decided to follow the Master, that we are already members of the family, and therefore each of us has his or her own part in building the Lord’s temple. This is a diverse temple, but rich and admirable, because its strength is in the unity of the family of faith where the Spirit God dwells. 

Prayer: God, may we never feel like foreigners to you. May we always feel that as part of your family we should help to build your diverse and beautiful temple. Amen.

                        MIEMBROS DE LA FAMILIA DE DIOS

                                         EFESIOS 2:19-22

     Por eso, ustedes ya no son extranjeros (…) y son miembros  de la familia de Dios.

                                    Efesios 2:19

Mucho se ha hablado de que la riqueza del mundo está en la diversidad existente en todas las esferas de la vida, que ésta se debe respetar y alegrarnos porque así sea. Sin embargo, cuando en un mismo espacio esta diversidad se manifiesta,  aquellas personas que por alguna razón se consideran las originales, así como sus ideas, dejan bien claro quienes mandan. De esta manera olvidan entonces que para Dios no hay diferencias sino diversidad  y que por lo tanto, TODA persona es digna de sumarse para construir, como dice el pasaje, el edificio donde el Señor mismo es la piedra angular.

¿Pero qué sucede aún? Pues que nos cuesta aceptar que  ya no somos  extraños desde el momento en punto en que decidimos seguir al Maestro,  que ya somos familia, y que por tanto, a cada cual le corresponde poner su  parte en la edificación del templo del Señor. Templo diverso pero rico y admirable,  porque su fortaleza está en la unidad de la  familia de fe que es donde habita, hecho realidad, el Espíritu Dios. 

Oración: Dios, permite que no nos sintamos ajenos a ti, deja que sintamos, en todo momento, que como parte de esta familia debemos ayudar a construir tu templo diverso y hermoso. Amén.
