LET US LIVE THIS TIME WITH FAITH

2 TIMOTHY 3:1-17

… and the Lord rescued me from all of them.  (NIV)

2 Timothy 3:11

This biblical portion speaks to us about egotism, envy, disobedience, and all these things that we’ve greatly meditated upon and continue studying, because they’re always current issues.

What calls our attention at this moment is that it’s said that in the last times people will be this way. This reflection makes us think, because we know that evil and sin have always been present.   

The passage tells us that the man of God should be perfect, entirely prepared for all good works. The important thing is not the time in which our actions are done, but our identity with God and the preparation of our human condition to be able to eradicate evil and sin in our lives. Not only will we have to consider our own lives, but we’ll also have to consider the little ones around us, to whom we have the responsibility of guiding in the ways of God.    

The task isn’t easy, but we can’t elude it. The Lord sums it up in the eternal mission: Go and preach the Gospel to all creatures.

Prayer: Lord, we desire a better world where goodness and love guide our steps. Make us instruments of your perfection. Amen.

VIVAMOS EL TIEMPO CON FE

2 TIMOTEO 3:1-17

… y de todas me ha librado el Señor

2 Timoteo 3:11

Esta porción bíblica nos habla del egoísmo, la envidia, la desobediencia, y de todas estas cosas en las que tanto hemos meditado y seguiremos estudiando porque siempre están vigentes.

Lo que llama nuestra atención en este momento es que se dice que así será la gente en los últimos tiempos. Esta reflexión nos hace pensar porque sabemos que en todos los tiempos la maldad y el pecado han estado presentes.

El pasaje nos dice que el hombre de Dios sea perfecto, enteramente preparado para toda buena obra. Lo importante no es el tiempo en que se produce nuestra acción, sino nuestra identidad con Dios y la preparación de nuestra condición humana para poder erradicar la maldad y el pecado en nuestras vidas. No solo hemos de pensar en nuestras vidas, sino también en la de aquellos pequeños que nos rodean, a quienes tenemos la responsabilidad de guiar en los caminos de Dios.

La tarea no es fácil, pero no podemos eludirla. El Señor la resume en la eterna misión: Id y predicad el evangelio a toda criatura

Oración: Señor, anhelamos un mundo mejor donde la bondad y el amor guíen nuestros pasos. Haznos instrumentos de tu perfección. Amén.
