A JOYFUL PRAISE
PSALM 96:1-2
O sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth.
Sig to the Lord, bless his name;
Tell of his salvation from day to day.

The book of Psalms is
a poetic anthology, or better, an ancient book of songs. Each one is a poem composed in a different
time, with a distinct purpose, throughout a time of a 1000 years, including
poems written by David the king of Israel. It served as a book of prayers in
the temple and the synagogues.
Let us sing to God a
new hymn. Let us sing with a spirit of
newness in the universal and ecumenical perspective, the people of Israel, the
nations of the earth and the entire creation with joy. It is a hymn that realizes the Lord animates us
with enthusiasm. It sings of the
universal reign of God.
It is the psalter, it
is universal praise of the peoples, nations, all of creation, all the world. It is the joyful and festive participation in
the praise of nature, of creation, in the great liturgy of life.
Prayer: All of my being
sings to you, Lord. I sing and feel
extreme joy before your presence that makes me happy because you have saved
me. Amen.

JUBILOSA ALABANZA
SALMO 96:1-2
¡Canten al Señor un cántico nuevo! ¡Canten al
Señor todos en la tierra! ¡Canten al Señor, bendigan su nombre! ¡Anuncien su
salvación todos los días!
Salmo 96:1-2
El
libro de los Salmos es una antología poética, o mejor, un antiguo libro de canciones. Cada uno es
un poema compuesto en un momento diferente, con un propósito distinto, durante
un lapso de mil años, incluyendo a David rey de Israel. Sirvió como libro de
oraciones en el templo y en las sinagogas.
Cantemos
a Dios un nuevo himno. Cantemos con espíritu de novedad en perspectiva
universalista y ecuménica, el pueblo de Israel, las naciones de la tierra y la
creación entera con alegría. Es un himno a la realeza del Señor animada por el
entusiasmo. Quiere cantar el reinado universal de Dios.
Es
el salterio, es la alabanza universal de pueblos, naciones, toda la creación, todo el mundo. Es la
participación gozosa y festiva de la alabanza de la naturaleza, de la creación,
en la gran liturgia de la vida.
Oración:
Todo mi ser canta a ti, Señor. Canto y
me estremezco de alegría ante tu presencia, que me hace feliz porque me has
salvado. Amén.
