TRANSFORMATIVE BRIDGES
MATTHEW 8: 5-11
“Truly I tell you, in no one in Israel have I found such faith. . . .’
Matthew 8:10b (NRSV)
People remember situations that made them fearful at some point in their lives; then, after enduring the storm they stop to see how it has turned out after the shock
.
As we interact with this reading, we reflect on those learnings that have served as a milestone in the journey of faith and our Christian experience. The Centurion’s need was not of a personal order but referred to a reality in the life of his servant, which leads him to cross the boundaries of his identity and pushes him against the wall of power relations. This attitude compels him to a transformation that for many would be unimaginable: surely no one would care so much about a servant. This position of pleading for a servant would not be commonly accepted.

Being transformed not only acts directly on the person, it also reforms the environment. A society can be transformed if those who live it let themselves be touched by the renewing hand of Jesus healing a life before us. By the scope of God’s actions. that would be thousands.
Prayer: God, allow us to act with faith and humility so that our lives may be transformed and thereby be able to transform others. Amen.

PUENTES DE TRANSFORMACIÓN
MATEO 8: 5-11
