LET’S WALK IN THE LIGHT OF THE LORD
ISAIAH  2:3 ,4-5 

O house of Jacob, come, let us walk in the light of the Lord!

Isaiah 2:5 (NRSV)

     During our life as Christians, one of our greatest prayers is: Lord, do not let us depart from your ways, and if anyone whom we love should depart from them, we earnestly ask that he return again to these paths which, as the psalmist said, are “a light to our steps.” We also pray for so many who do not know you and whom we see walking aimlessly. We have the certainty that only by walking with God will we find those things that make us better human beings, better people, but, above all, those things that make us keep our faith and desire for peace to reign in every heart and place. 
    In these verses Isaiah offers us words of hope because when the time is right, says the prophet, we will see with joy how violence will end and love and harmony will be imposed on our world. But for this we must first seek God's ways and say to others as well: “Come, let us walk in the light of the Lord!”

Prayer: God, never let our steps stray from your paths of light, love, hope and peace. Amen.

¡Vamos, pueblo de Jacob, caminemos a la luz del Señor!                                                            
Isaías 2: 5
Durante nuestra vida como cristianos uno de nuestros mayores ruegos es: Señor no nos dejes alejarnos de tus caminos, y si alguien a quien amamos se aleja de ellos, pedimos encarecidamente que retorne nuevamente a estos senderos que, como dijera el salmista: son lumbrera a nuestros pasos. También oramos por tantos que no le conocen y a los que vemos andar muchas sin rumbo. Y es que tenemos la certeza de que solo caminando con Dios encontraremos aquellas cosas que nos hacen mejores seres humanos, mejores personas, pero, sobre todo, aquello que nos hace mantener la fe y desear que la paz reine en todo corazón y lugar.
Isaías en sus versos nos ofrece palabras de esperanza pues cuando llegue el momento indicado, expresa el profeta, veremos con gozo como la violencia acabará y serán el amor y la concordia quienes se impondrán en nuestro mundo. Pero para ello debemos antes buscar los caminos de Dios y decirle a otros también: ¡Vamos, caminemos a la luz del Señor!

Oración: Dios, no dejes nunca que nuestros pasos se aparten de tus senderos de luz, amor, esperanza y paz. Amén.
