TUESDAY December 3 WITH A SINCERE HEART MARK 9:35-37; 10:14-16

Tuesday, December 3
Day of Disabled People

 WITH A SINCERE HEART
MARK 9:35-37; 10:14-16

And he took them up in his arms, laid his hands on them, and blessed them.
Mark 10:16 (NRSV)

Advent has just begun. Every year again we wait for God in the form of a child. We remember again what innocence, gentleness, simplicity, purity and truth are in an infant. It's a good time to examine our behavior as adults and how much we need to learn from childhood.

Children show sincerity, an attitude of trust and a total dependence on those who care for them.  Hence, childhood is a good comparison with the qualities that a disciple should have. Adults can become worldly wise, self-sufficient, and skeptical of religion and various plans of salvation. For this reason we must accept faith as children do.

Let us approach God as children, with sincerity of heart.

Prayer: God of mercy, we come to you at this time to ask you to teach us how to approach in the way of a child. We want to humbly ask you to forgive us for the times when we have not known how to be as you want us to be. Amen.

Día de las Personas con Discapacidades

  CON SINCERIDAD DE CORAZÓN
                              MARCOS 9: 35-37;10: 14-16
