HERE IS OUR GOD
ISAIAH 40:1-12
“Here is your God!”
Isaíah 40:9b (NRSV)
Everyone’s lives experience difficult periods that weaken our faith and hope in God; we find ourselves confronting situations that will either grow our spiritual life or destroy it. This passage from the prophet Isaiah tells us about the difficult situation that the people of Israel went through in their captivity in Babylon, a hard time of trials; but in the end God always liberates and helps his people even in the worst situations.
Comfort my people; We should be comforters, spiritually accompanying thosse who most need us in the midst of their difficulties. We must be convinced that we are not alone and that God is in our midst, is always present.
Let us seek God through prayer. Let us turn to discernment and discover what his will is by reading the Bible. The prophets were persecuted, but they were helped and sustained by God. We keep our hope in that great God whom we have, and that as a good shepherd he will feed his flock.
Fear not neither faint, for I the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
Prayer: Lord God of love and mercy, we give you unending thanks for your constant presence in our lives, especially in the midst of our problems. Give us strength when we are weak, and when we think we are strong make us depend on you. We ask for your constant help; we always trust in your power and presence. In the name of Jesus Christ our Savior, Amen.
AQUÍ ESTA NUESTRO DIOS

En las vidas de todos los seres humanos suelen aparecer momentos difíciles que hacen que nuestra fe y esperanza en Dios se debilite y estemos en una confrontación que puede hacer crecer nuestra vida espiritual o destruirla.
Este pasaje del profeta Isaías, nos habla de la situación difícil que atravesó el pueblo de Israel en su cautiverio en Babilonia, tiempo duro de pruebas, pero que al final Dios siempre libera y ayuda a su pueblo en las peores situaciones. Consolad a mi pueblo; debemos ser consoladores, acompañando espiritualmente a las personas que más nos necesitan, en medio de sus tribulaciones. Debemos estar convencidos de que no estamos solos y que Dios está en medio nuestro, está presente siempre.
Busquemos a Dios por medio de la oración. Acudamos al discernimiento y descubramos cuál es su voluntad mediante la lectura de la Biblia. Los profetas fueron perseguidos, pero ayudados y sustentados por Dios. Mantenemos nuestra esperanza en ese Dios tan grande que tenemos y como buen pastor apacienta su rebaño.
Mira que te mando que te esfuerces y seas valiente, no temas ni desmayes, porque yo el Señor tu Dios estaré contigo donde quiera que vayas.
Oración: Señor y Dios de amor y misericordia, infinitas gracias te damos por tu presencia constante en nuestras vidas, en especial en medio de nuestros problemas. Danos la fuerza cuando somos débiles, y cuando nos creemos fuerte haznos depender de ti. Te pedimos tu ayuda constante, confiamos siempre en tu poder y compañía. Por Cristo Jesús nuestro salvador. Amén.
