Mother’s Day

PRAYER

1 Thessalonians 5: 1-23

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances;

for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18 (NRSV)

            The secret prayer can sometimes be just a sigh in pursuit of God, a phrase, a deep feeling; true prayer is not tied to external forms, nor gestures nor beautiful words. The fundamental thing is that it be true, persevering, regardless of the time that passes, or discouragement, doubt or adverse circumstances, and focused only on the security of his love and mercy. Confident prayer goes with humility, because trust is found in Christ and not in the one who prays.

            The Spirit inclines everything so that the prayer is according to the will of God, helping so that you receive the best for you even when you do not fully understand His answer. The supplicative prayer, when you recognize your fragility, doubts, fears and faults, is when you recognize that only in the Lord is the power to change what you cannot change. You cannot pray effectively trusting in your own strength but rather trusting only in the love and power of God. Thankful prayer is the prayer that recognizes God for all his goodness and especially for the perfect gift: Christ. The prayer "apparently" unfulfilled, teaches us that what is requested is not the best for us, shows us that it is not the time. We fully understand then, that if we have given ourselves to the Lord, we have given ourselves to his holy will.

Prayer: Thank you Father, because I know for sure that you always listen to me through prayer. Amen.

LA ORACIÓN

1 Tesalonisenses 5: 1-23

Estad siempre gozosos. Orad sin cesar.

Dad gracias en todo, porque esta es la voluntad de Dios

para con vosotros en Cristo Jesús.                             

  1 Tesalonicenses 5:16-18

            La oración secreta a veces puede ser solo un suspiro en pos de Dios, una frase, un sentir profundo;  la verdadera oración no va atada a formas externas, ni a gestos ni a palabras bonitas, lo fundamental es que sea verdadera, perseverante, sin importar el tiempo que transcurra, ni el desánimo, la duda o las circunstancias adversas, centrados solo en la seguridad de su amor y su misericordia. La oración confiada va con humildad, porque la confianza se encuentra en Cristo y no en quien ora.

            El Espíritu lo inclina todo para que la oración sea conforme a la voluntad de Dios, ayudando de modo que recibes lo mejor para ti aún cuando no comprendas del todo su respuesta. La oración suplicante, cuando reconoces tu fragilidad, dudas, miedos y faltas, es cuando reconoces que sólo en el Señor está el poder para cambiar lo que túú no puedes. La oración eficaz  no puedes hacerla confiando en tus propias fuerzas sino sólo en el amor y el poder de Dios. La oración agradecida es la oración que reconoce a Dios por toda su bondad y especialmente por el don perfecto: Cristo. La oración “aparentemente” incumplida, nos enseña  las veces que lo pedido no es lo mejor para nosotros, nos muestra que no es el tiempo, interiorizamos entonces que si nos hemos entregado al Señor nos hemos entregado a su santa voluntad.
