MAY 9, SATURDAY
THE LORD HIMSELF GOES BEFORE YOU
Joshua 1: 9
I hereby command
you: Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord
your God is with you wherever you go. (NRSV)
Deuteronomy 31: 8
How comforting and liberating it is when we allow God to go
before us! Stop and consider it for a moment: you can relinquish control of
your life and circumstances to the Lord Himself. Just relax! His shoulders are
strong enough to carry all your loads.
Do you have a knot in your stomach right now, or a problem
that makes you want to sleep until it's all over? Ask the Lord to come before
you. Trust that He will never abandon you and that He is solving everything. As
a hymn that many of us sing in our congregations says: "God himself goes
in our walk." If you have trusted Christ as your Savior, the Spirit of God
Himself is alive, well, and working within you at all times. What an amazing
miracle! The Creator of the universe dwells within you and is available to encourage
you and help you make the right choices at all times. Although sometimes it
seems the opposite, we are never alone.
Prayer: Thank you Lord, for the incredible gift of your presence in
each and every one of the situations I face. Let me remember you and invoke
your name as you face the challenges of each day. Amen.

EL SEÑOR MISMO VA DELANTE DE TI
Josué 1:9
El Señor mismo
marchará al frente de ti y estará contigo;
nunca te dejará ni
te abandonará. No temas ni te desanimes.
Deuteronomio 31:8
¡Cuán reconfortante y libertador es cuando permitimos que
Dios vaya delante de nosotros! Detente y considéralo por un momento: puedes
ceder el control de tu vida y de las circunstancias al Señor mismo. ¡Relájate!
Sus hombros son lo suficientemente fuertes como para llevar todas tus cargas.
¿Tienes un nudo en el estómago ahora mismo, o un problema
que te lleva a desear dormir hasta que todo acabe? Pídele al Señor que vaya
delante de ti. Confía en que Él no te abandonará nunca y que lo está
solucionando todo. Como dice un himno que cantamos muchos en nuestras
congregaciones: “Va Dios mismo en
nuestro caminar”. Si has confiado en Cristo como tu Salvador, el Espíritu de
Dios mismo está vivo, bien y trabajando dentro de ti en todo momento. ¡Qué
milagro tan asombroso! El Creador del universo mora dentro de ti y está
disponible para alentarte y ayudarte a hacer las elecciones correctas en cada
momento. Aunque a veces parezca lo contrario,
nunca estamos solos.
Oración: Gracias Señor, por el
increíble regalo de tu presencia en todas y cada una de las situaciones que
afronto. Permíteme recordarlo e invocar
tu nombre al enfrentar los retos de cada díía. Amén.
