MY SPOUSE AND I  

Ephesians 5:21-33

Wives, submit yourself to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands love your wives and do not be harsh with them

Colossians 3:18-19 (NIV)

When for me the stories of true love did not exist, God gave me one: the one my husband and I are living. It is true that difficulties and pains have come, trials and great tribulations; but there has been my beloved God, who chooses two people just as they are, to be for each other and to live a true love story.

I know I have not been a perfect wife, nor has my beloved been perfect. But God is repairing us, making two completely unequal pieces into one exclusive piece with the same goal.

For this to be your story also, you must give all your experiences, expectations, desires, frustrations and pains to God. He will make you a virtuous and wise wife, who respects and values her beloved. He will make the husband a worthy man and head of the home, who loves his wife as himself. The Lord will teach them to love the defects, because only in this way they will be able to cover and fill with love what their spouse lacks. God makes every marriage that is placed in his hands, a story of true love.

 

Prayer: Thank you, my good Lord, for my marriage, and for the family you have blessed me with. I recognize that none of it would have been possible if our lives were not given to you. Bless the marriages that are going through difficulties. Amen.

MI ESPOSO Y YO

Efesios 5:21-33

Casadas, estad sujetas a vuestros maridos, como conviene en el Señor. Maridos, amad a vuestras mujeres, y no seáis ásperos con ellas

Colosenses 3:18-19

Cuando para mí las historias de amor verdadero no existían, Dios me regaló una: la que estamos viviendo mi esposo y yo. Es cierto que las dificultades y dolores han venido, pruebas y grandes tribulaciones; pero ahí ha estado mi amado Dios, quien escoge a dos personas tal cual son, para que sean el uno para el otro y vivan una historia verdadera de amor.

Sé que no he sido una esposa perfecta, ni mi amado tampoco ha sido perfecto. Pero Dios nos está reparando, haciendo de dos piezas completamente desiguales, una única pieza exclusiva con un mismo objetivo.

Para que ésta también sea tu historia debes entregar todas tus experiencias, expectativas, anhelos, frustraciones y dolores a Dios. Él se encargará de hacerte la esposa virtuosa y sabia, que respeta y valora a su amado. Y al esposo, de hacerlo un hombre digno y cabeza del hogar, que ama a su esposa como a sí mismo. El Señor les enseñará a amar los defectos, porque sólo así podrán cubrir y llenar con amor lo que a su cónyuge falta. Dios hace de cada matrimonio que se pone en sus manos, una historia de verdadero amor.

 

Oración: Gracias te doy, mi buen Señor, por mi matrimonio, y por la familia con la que me has bendecido. Reconozco que nada de eso hubiese sido posible si nuestras vidas no estuvieran entregadas a ti. Bendice a los matrimonios que atraviesan dificultades. Amén.
