HIS WAYS ARE GOOD

Proverbs 3:5

Ecclesiastes 8:17

The ways of God are mysterious and unpredictable – but good.

When we look at world events, with so much evil around us, it is easy to feel fearful and discouraged. We cannot understand why God allows such cruelty and suffering. God is infinite. Many things are beyond our comprehension. But the Lord asks us not to despair, and that when we reach the limit of our ability to understand, we trust that he will carry us forward. Let us affirm our trust in him through prayer. This is how we maintain communication with him.

Let’s not get caught up in the position of demanding to know why. That is the wrong question. The correct question would be to say: Lord, how do you want me to see this situation? Lord, what do you want to do now?

The past cannot be changed, so we must start with the present moment and try to find the path that leads us to Jesus Christ. Let’s trust in him for one day, one moment, one time.

 

Prayer: Lord, let our question today be the right one. Help us travel on the path that leads us to you. Amen.

BUENOS SON SUS CAMINOS

Proverbios 3:5

Y he visto todas las obras de Dios, que el hombre no puede alcanzar la obra que debajo del sol se hace; por mucho que trabaje el hombre buscándola, no la hallará...

Eclesiastés 8:17

Los caminos de Dios son misteriosos e impredecibles, pero buenos.

Cuando observamos los acontecimientos mundiales, con tanto mal a nuestro alrededor, es fácil sentir miedo y desanimarnos. No podemos comprender por qué Dios permite tanta crueldad y sufrimiento. Dios es infinito. Muchas cosas se escapan de nuestra comprensión. Pero el Señor nos pide que no nos desesperemos, y que cuando lleguemos al límite de nuestra capacidad de entender, confiemos en que Él nos llevará hacia adelante. Afirmemos nuestra confianza en Él mediante la oración. Así mantenemos la comunicación con Él.

No nos quedemos atrapados en la postura de demandar saber los por qué. Esa es una pregunta equivocada. Las preguntas correctas serían decir: ¿Cómo quieres Señor, que vea esta situación? ¿Qué quieres Señor que haga ahora?

El pasado no se puede cambiar, por lo que debemos comenzar con el momento presente y tratar de encontrar el sendero que nos conduce a Cristo Jesús. Confiemos en Él un día, un momento, una vez.

 

Oración: Señor, permite que nuestra pregunta de hoy sea la correcta. Ayúdanos transitar en el sendero que nos conduce a ti. Amén.
