THE ARMOR OF GOD

EPHESIANS 6: 10-20

Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground…

Ephesians 6: 13ª (NIV)

You and I, our neighbor, our friend: all of us have bad days. These days can bring pain, whether it’s from losing someone we love or simply because we live in a place where many basic needs are not met.

How can we cope with those days, those agonizing moments in life that seem like we’ll never be able to get through?

The Word of God tells us, through the apostle Paul, that we can only stand firm by putting on the armor of God.

But, what does the armor of God consist of? – truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Holy Spirit who is the Word. From these the armor of God is made, and it invites us to pray at all times.

Difficult days may never pass or come to an end; however, we can trust that if we seek God, if we clothe ourselves with all that the Father offers us; we will be able to stand firm and emerge even more than conquerors.

The Son walks with us, and the Holy Spirit always watches over us.

Prayer: Spirit of Life, thank you for being with us; thank you for all the security we find in you. Stay with us and watch over us all, through Jesus. Amen.

LA ARMADURA DE DIOS

EFESIOS 6: 10-20
