HEALING ON THE DAY OF REST.

LUKE 13: 10-17

When he said this, all those who were against him were put to shame, but the others rejoiced greatly at the wonderful things he was doing.

Luke 13:17

This story recounts when Christ healed the crippled woman on the Sabbath. She’d been ill for eighteen years because of an unclean spirit. Satan had reveled in her deformity! But Jesus came to share another of His teachings: there is no specific day or moment for healing and restoring dignity.

To act with mercy, to serve others, there can be no day of rest. Whenever we have the will and our hearts are ready, we must perform every kind of work that leads to the common good, without distinction.

In these difficult times, we as Christians have the responsibility and commitment to always reach out our hands and keep our eyes wide open… we must be prepared to accompany, help, protect, listen, and embrace.

Prayer: Blessed Heavenly Father, may we always be willing to heal those in need, no matter the day, and may our Christian vocation enable us to move forward with steadfastness and determination. Amen.

SANAR EL DÍA DE DESCANSO.

LUCAS 13: 10-17
