LET’S NOT WORRY
JEREMIAH 13:15-27
Can
any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? (NIV)
Matthew 6:27
There are some things we cannot change. Perhaps
the most inalterable component of our lives is our past, which intrinsically
can’t be changed. We can’t relive our past. Our parents are our parents, and
our childhood will continue to be our childhood.
We can’t change what has happened to us
throughout our life. We can’t undo any of it, and we can’t change our words or
actions. You can avoid the errors of the past, but even so you will not be able
to eliminate the effects of the sin.
We can’t change the past, but we have the
option of accepting it. When Jesus met the Samaritan woman at the well, he did
not ask her to erase her five marriages. He offered her water to quench her
thirst and courage to face her current challenges.
We waste our time and energy thinking about
what might have been. We should simply admit our own mistakes and those
committed against God, but we can’t do more than that. Let us not worry, but
focus on the present that is being shaped in our hands.
Prayer: Help me, Lord, to accept my past and leave behind what I
cannot change. Give me strength and faith to face today’s challenges without
worrying. Amen.

NO NOS AFANEMOS
JEREMIAS 13:15-27
¿Y quién de
vosotros podrá, por mucho que se afane,
añadir a su
estatura un codo?
Mateo 6:27
Algunas cosas no
No podemos cambiar
Oración: Ayúdame Señor, a
