BE HAPPY IN SPITE OF IT ALL

ACTS 16:19-40

Bright eyes give joy to the heart, good news strengthens the bones.

The apostle Paul had a lot of things that he could have complained about. He was beaten, imprisoned, suffered a shipwreck and almost drowned; nevertheless, through all of this he discovered that God was the source of his contentment.  He understood that God had control of his life even when he was in these overwhelming and tragic situations.

At times we find ourselves in difficult places and things do not come out the way we had planned.  This is the time we need to look for the positive.  We must choose to bloom where we are planted, and God will find us there.  In our songs of praise during difficulties, God will come.  The Holy Spirit, the Comforter, will minister amid our needs.  The Lord has promised not to leave us or abandon us, so, if He is present, we should have no fears or worries.  We can feel satisfied without having worries, lamentations, only trusting that the Word is true.

When we place our hope in Christ, and He is our guide, he will give us the ability to walk satisfied, regardless of our circumstances.  He is our all in all.

Prayer:  Lord, I give you thanks for all good gifts; but above all, for your presence.  Amen.

El apóstol Pablo tenía muchas cosas por las que podría haberse quejado. Fue golpeado, encarcelado, sufrió un naufragio y casi se ahoga; sin embargo, por medio de todo esto descubrió que Dios era la fuente de su contentamiento. Entendió que Dios tenía el control de su vida incluso cuando estaba en aquellas situaciones abrumadoras y trágicas.

A veces nos encontramos en lugares difíciles y las cosas no nos salen como lo habíamos planeado. Ese es el momento en el que debemos buscar lo positivo. Tenemos que escoger florecer allí donde estamos plantados y Dios nos encontrará allí. En nuestros cánticos de alabanza en medio de las dificultades, Dios vendrá. El Espíritu Santo, el Consolador, ministrará en medio de nuestras necesidades. El Señor ha prometido no dejarnos ni abandonarnos, así que, si Él está presente, no deberíamos tener temor ni preocupación. Podemos sentirnos satisfechos sin tener inquietudes, lamentaciones, solo confiando en que la Palabra es verdad.

Cuando depositamos nuestra esperanza en Cristo y Él es nuestro guía, nos dará la capacidad de caminar satisfechos, independientemente de nuestras circunstancias. Él es nuestro todo en todo.

Oración: Señor, te doy gracias por todos tus buenos dones; pero, sobre todo, por tu presencia. Amén.
