RENEWED STRENGTH

ISAIAH 40:28-31

but those who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength,

Isaiah 40:31 (NRSV)

I found myself in my office very early one morning preparing meditations for an Evangelism Campaign. I needed a theme for the last presentation. There are a lot of young people from the community who come to the Church seeking counsel. That morning was different.

One youth came into my office. Seeing that I was busy thinking, he told me, the weariness of the good is the triumph of the evil ones. Having given me a few words of encouragement, he walked out because he saw that I was very busy.

Without a doubt, God always gives us new strength and uses many means to accomplish it if we trust in his promises. Let’s start this day with new encouragement from God.

Let’s pray for God’s Workers.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for strengthening us so that we may strengthen others. Thank you for the pastors of our Churches and thank you for all the servants who from the pew or with their witness serve your Word and give strength to those who are exhausted. Today, we say with Jesus:

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.

ISAÍAS 40:28-31

Pero los que esperan a Dios tendrán nuevas fuerzas

Isaías 40:31

Me encontraba muy temprano en la mañana en la oficina de la Iglesia, preparando las meditaciones para una Campaña de Evangelismo. Me faltaba un tema para la última presentación.

Hay muchos jóvenes de la comunidad que vienen a la Iglesia buscando consejo. Esa mañana fue diferente.

Un joven entró a mi oficina. Al verme preocupado pensando, me dijo: El cansancio de los buenos, es el triunfo de los malos. Me dio unas palabras de aliento, y se marchó enseguida porque me vio muy ocupado.

Sin dudas, Dios siempre da nuevas fuerzas y utiliza muchos medios para lograrlo, si confiamos en sus promesas.

Comencemos este día con nuevo aliento de parte de Dios.

Oremos por los Obreros del Señor.

Oración: Señor, gracias porque nos edificas para que edifiquemos a otros. Gracias por los pastores y pastoras de nuestras Iglesias y gracias por todos los siervos que desde el banco o con su testimonio ministran tu Palabra y dan fuerzas al que está agotado. Con Jesús te decimos hoy: Padre nuestro que estás en los cielos, santificado sea Tu Nombre. Venga Tu Reino, hágase Tu voluntad, como en el cielo, así también en la tierra. El pan nuestro de cada día dánoslo hoy. Y perdónanos nuestras deudas, como también nosotros perdonamos a nuestros deudores. Y no nos metas en tentación, más líbranos del mal; porque Tuyo es el Reino, el poder y la gloria, por todos los siglos. Amén.
