GOD WITH ME AND I WITH HIM
HEBREWS 13:1-6
. . . that they may all be one. As you, Father, are in me
and I am in you,
may they also be in us, so that the world may believe that
you have sent me.
John 17:21 (NRSV)
God is with you if God is in you and you in Him. Your union
with our Lord Jesus Christ is the guarantee that you have that God will be with
you in a particular moment of need. This is a question of being with Christ all
the time, rather than being with Him at intermittent times. Many souls search
for God in times of need, but they are not accustomed to feeling his presence
all the time. God has great mercy and compassion for all his children, but
those who only seek at times are only going to enjoy his presence at times.
Your communion with God can be reserved for a special moment
or can be the reality of every minute of your existence. The world will only
believe in the Lord’s great mission when it sees some flashes of your unity
with him in your life. The Lord calls at your door and says, If anyone will
hear my voice and open the door, I will enter and eat with him and he with me.
There is an active force and a voice that calls you to an intimate communion
with the Lord. The Lord comes to people’s lives to stay there, to be in them,
not only to be with them. The Bible reminds us that the Lord was passing
through, and they did not receive him. That is a sad thought. But to those who
received him, he gave the power to be children of God. This is a sense of the
victory of the eternal incarnation, of the constant presence of Christ in our
lives.

DIOS CONMIGO Y YO CON ÉL
HEBREOS 13:1-6
Te pido que todos ellos
estén completamente unidos, que sean una sola cosa en unión con nosotros, oh
Padre, así como tú estás en mí y yo estoy en ti. Que estén completamente
unidos, para que el mundo crea que tú me enviaste.
Juan 17:21
Dios está contigo si
Dios está en ti y tú en Él. Tu unión con nuestro Señor Jesucristo es la
garantía que tienes de que Dios estará contigo en un momento determinado de
necesidad especial. Esto es cuestión más bien de ser todo el tiempo en Cristo,
que de estar por temporadas intermitentes con Él. Muchas almas buscan a Dios en
momentos de necesidades, pero no están acostumbradas a sentir su presencia todo
el tiempo. Dios tiene gran misericordia y compasión por todos sus hijos e
hijas, pero los que le buscan solo a veces, solo a veces pueden gozar de su
presencia.
Tu comunión con Dios
puede ser reservada para un momento en especial o puede ser realidad en cada
minuto de tu existencia. El mundo creerá
en la gran misión del Señor cuando vea en tu vida algunos destellos de tu
unidad con Él. El Señor llama a tu puerta y dice: Si alguno oyera mi voz y
abriera la puerta entraré y cenaré con él y él conmigo. Hay fuerza activa
que te busca, y voz que te llama a una comunión de intimidad con el Señor. El
Señor viene a las vidas para quedarse, para ser en ellas y no sólo para estar
con ellas. La Biblia nos recuerda que el Señor estuvo de paso y no le
recibieron. Esa es una idea triste. Pero a quienes le recibieron les dio la
potestad de ser hijos e hijas de Dios. Esa es una idea de la victoria de la
encarnación eterna, de la presencia constante de Cristo en nuestras vidas.
Oración: Gracias Señor, porque
estás conmigo y yo contigo. Amén.
