TO LIVE THROUGH A TRIAL

TOGETHER WITH JESUS

LUKE 22 :24-30

You are those who have stood by me in my trials.  (NIV)

Luke 22:28

These were the comforting words so full of grace that Jesus said to his disciples the night before being betrayed.

When we have trials do we turn to Jesus? He will make our trials his own, and in so doing we can pass through them with Him. Let us not live the test as something external, as if a downpour fell upon us. Let us allay our situation with the Lord. He invites us to bear it together with him, trusting in Him.

At times we feel tired, frustrated, or overwhelmed by an imprecise malaise. Let’s not try to fight alone with our difficulties. Let us direct ourselves to Jesus and tell him everything. so that he teaches us and encourages us. He will give us the wisdom.

If, in the middle of the pain, we shrink into ourselves, we will not have any strength and evil will win the battle. On the other hand, if we live our trials together with Jesus, we will experience that they have been a journey to bring us to discover the love of the Lord in a new way.

Prayer: Lord, help us to understand that we can learn more from sadness than from laughter Amen.

VIVIR UNA PRUEBA JUNTO A JESÚS

LUCAS 22 :24-30

Vosotros sois los que habéis permanecido

conmigo en mis pruebas

Lucas 22:28

 Estas fueron las palabras reconfortantes y llenas de gracia que Jesús dijo a sus discípulos la noche antes de ser traicionado. 

Cuando pasamos por pruebas ¿nos volvemos a Jesús? Él hace suyas nuestras pruebas, de modo que podemos atravesarlas con Él. No vivamos la prueba como algo externo, como si un aguacero nos cayese encima. Asociemos al Señor con nuestra situación. Él nos invita a soportarla junto a Él, confiados en Él. A menudo nos sentimos cansados, frustrados o agobiados por un malestar impreciso. No tratemos de luchar solos con nuestras dificultades, dirijámonos a Jesús y contémosle todo para que nos enseñe y nos anime. Él nos dará la sabiduría.

Si en medio del dolor nos encerramos en nosotros mismos, no tendremos ninguna fuerza y el mal ganará la batalla. En cambio, si vivimos nuestras pruebas junto a Jesús, experimentaremos que éstas han sido un camino para llevarnos a descubrir el amor del Señor de una manera nueva.

Oración: Señor, ayúdanos a comprender que podemos aprender más de la tristeza que de la risa. Amén.
