IT’S WORTH THE TROUBLE

JOHN 10:7-18

 I have come so that they may have life, and life in abundance. (NIV)  

John 10:10b

It’s worth the trouble to live when life has an objective. You don’t have to be thrown to one side or another by life’s currents. There are thousands upon thousands of people for whom life is something without purpose or meaning, but the Lord Jesus said, “I have come so that they may have life, and life in abundance.”  

God has a plan and an objective. The tragedy is that so many fail to find it because they don’t find Christ, who is the source of life. When we completely submit to God’s control, we discover the secret of true life, but instead of doing that, many have persisted in going their own way.  

If we want to find the secret of life and enjoy its fullness, we must surrender our life into Christ’s hands and ask that his Spirit dwell in us. To know that secret we have to make a decision, we have to experience a change, and we have to accept a challenge.  

It’s surprising what God can do through a person if they let him work his will in their life. Why not test this for yourself today?  

Prayer: Lord, today I expressly tell you that beautiful song from our liturgy: use my life […] all of the days. And today I want to be your witness everywhere. Amen.

Yo he venido para que tengan vida, y vida en abundancia

Juan 10:10b

Vale la pena vivir cuando la vida tiene un propósito. Usted no tiene que ser arrojado de un lado a otro por las corrientes de la vida. Hay miles y miles de personas para quienes la vida es algo sin propósito ni significado, pero el Señor Jesús dijo: Yo he venido para que tengan vida, y vida en abundancia.

Dios tiene un plan y un propósito. La tragedia es que tantos no lo encuentran porque no encuentran a Cristo quien es la fuente de la vida. Cuando nos rendimos completamente al control de Dios encontramos el secreto de la vida verdadera. Pero en vez de hacer eso, muchos han persistido en su propio camino.

Si queremos encontrar el secreto de la vida y gozar de su plenitud, tenemos que entregarla en las manos de Cristo y pedirle que su Espíritu more en nosotros. Para conocer ese secreto tenemos que hacer una decisión, tenemos que experimentar un cambio y tenemos que aceptar un desafío.

Es sorprendente lo que Dios puede hacer mediante una persona, si ésta le permite obrar su voluntad en ella. ¿Por qué no pruebas en este día?

Oración: Señor, hoy te digo como expresa ese hermoso canto de nuestras liturgias: usa mi vida… todos los días y hoy quiero ser testigo tuyo, Señor, por doquier. Amén.
