UNDIVIDED

MARK 3:22-30

If a kingdom is divided against itself,

that kingdom cannot stand.

Mark 3:24 (NIV)

A divided kingdom cannot stand. If someone is doing two things or feels trapped between two decisions, they are divided. That is because if one is thinking along two lines and wants to finish each one at the same time there would be a serious problem.

I have seen this division in many places. Let’s think about a baseball game: if the pitcher makes his own decisions, the team will lose; if the batters do their own thing, and the coach is mad at everybody, the team is a veritable disaster.

The same thing happens with the life within. The person who is continually divided, thinking of himself or herself, saying one thing and doing another, is a true disaster, and cannot live happily.

Happiness in life is found in Jesus Christ, and doing when He wants each of us to do. Therefore we must be consistent, “undivided,” so we are not destroyed like the divided kingdom.

Prayer: Lord, I beg you to help me walk in the way of truth with an undivided heart. Give me strength so that my yes means yes, and my no means no, so that I am not condemned. Amen.

DE UNA SOLA PIEZA

MARCOS 3:22-30

Si un reino está dividido contra sí mismo,

tal reino no puede permanecer

Marcos 3:24

Un reino dividido no puede subsistir. Si una persona está haciendo dos cosas o se siente atrapada entre dos decisiones, está dividida. Esto es porque si se tienen dos pensamientos y se desea concluir cada uno al mismo tiempo se crearía un problema serio.

He visto esta división en muchos lugares. Pensemos en un partido de béisbol: si el pitcher toma sus propias decisiones, no ganarán; si los bateadores van por su lado, y si el director técnico está enojado con todos, ese equipo es un verdadero desastre.

Pasa lo mismo en la vida  interior. La persona  que está continuamente dividida, pensando en sí misma, diciendo una cosa y haciendo otra, es un verdadero desastre. No se puede vivir feliz así.

La felicidad en la vida se encuentra en Jesucristo, y en hacer siempre aquello que Él quiere de cada uno de nosotros. Por lo tanto tenemos que ser personas coherentes, “de una sola pieza”, para no destruirnos al igual que el reino  dividido.

Oración: Señor, te ruego que me ayudes a andar siempre en el camino de la verdad y con íntegro corazón. Dame fortaleza para que mi sí sea sí, y mi no sea no, para que no caiga en condenación. Amén.
