GOD ALWAYS HEARS US

LUKE 18:1-8

And will not God grant justice to his chosen ones who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long in helping them?

Luke 18:7 (NRSV)

            God always hears us.  It is amid trials and the most difficult moments when we must cling to Him, pray constantly and be doers of His Word. We must never cease in our pleas. 

            This passage about the widow makes me think about those things which we want or yearn for, and sometimes question why God doesn’t respond. However, silence and the lack of an immediate response is also part of God’s answer to us. We must act like the widow, not losing heart before good desires or the search for new horizons. In the face of the dissatisfactions that life holds, we must correct and take from life a greater experience, trusting that God is paying attention and knows the petitions of our hearts.

            When we pray without ceasing, we find ourselves strong and invincible before the uncertainties which confront us. We must not stop worshiping and exalting God, because God is the God of justice and fairness. God listens to us. Let’s be patient and slow to anger in the midst of our crisis. Let’s act wisely. Let’s praise God, because He is always attentive to the call of His children.

Prayer: God who hears the tears of your children, allow us always to seek you and never to stop praying to you. Amen.

DIOS SIEMPRE NOS ESCUCHA

LUCAS 18:1-8

¿Acaso Dios no les hará justicia a sus elegidos, que día y noche claman a él? ¿Se tardará en responderles?

Lucas 18:7

Dios siempre nos escucha. Es en medio de las pruebas y los momentos más difíciles cuando debemos aferrarnos a Él, orar constantemente y ser hacedores de su Palabra. Nunca debemos desistir en nuestros ruegos. Este pasaje de la viuda me hace pensar en aquellas cosas que deseamos o añoramos, y en ocasiones cuestionamos, por qué Dios no nos responde. Sin embargo, el silencio y la no respuesta inmediata es también parte de la respuesta de Dios hacia nosotros.

Debemos actuar como la viuda, no desmayar ante los buenos deseos, la búsqueda de nuevos horizontes; ante las insatisfacciones que nos depara la vida, corregir y tomar de ella una experiencia más, confiar que Dios está atento y conoce las peticiones de nuestro corazón.

Cuando oramos sin cesar nos sentimos fuertes e invencibles ante las incertidumbres que afrontamos. No dejemos de adorar y exaltar a Dios, porque Él es Dios de justicia, de equidad. Dios te escucha. Seamos pacientes y tardos para airarnos en medio de la crisis que se vive. Actuemos sabiamente. Aclamemos siempre a Dios pues Él siempre está atento al llamado de sus hijos e hijas.

Oración: Dios, que escuchas el llanto de tus hijas e hijos, permite que siempre te busquemos y que no cesen nuestras oraciones hacia Ti. Amén.
