GO, CREATE OCCASIONS

MATTHEW 28:16-20

Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations…

Matthew 28: 19 (CEB)

“The occasion must be created, not wait for it to arrive”.  Francis Bacon

While it is clear that in life “everything has its time” and we cannot despair in achieving our goals whether in the personal or communitarian sphere, it is also clear that we cannot be paralyzed into thinking that things “fall from the sky.”

From heaven God pours out blessing and gives us the means, will, and strength to apply the gifts given to us through the Holy Spirit, so that the gospel may come in fully to every person, in every corner of creation.

Jesus urges us not to remain static, but to create opportunities to bring the bliss of the gospel to every person. Then, “Go” is an order that denotes putting your hands to work, teaching and practicing all that we have received for the common good of humankind. It is to carry the gospel along the way; in the daily work.

Prayer: Lord, give us the will to never be static, creating occasions so that the bliss of the gospel will be real in every creature. Amen.

ID, CREEN OCASIONES

MATEO 28:16-20
