THE POSSIBILITY OF THE IMPOSSIBLE

Matthew 9:8

When the crowd saw this they were filled with awe, and they praised God who had given such authority to man.  (NIV)

Matthew 9: 8

            God works in impossibilities. For him it’s never too late. If what seems impossible to us is brought to him in full faith, the impossibility becomes reality to the glory of the Lord.

            Even if there have been disasters, rebellion, unbelief, and sin in our lives, it is never too late to turn to the Father. God "will repay you for the years  that the swarming locust has eaten," (Joel 2:25)  and he will do this when we put ourselves in his hands, when we put our trust and believe in his promise of salvation.

            God does this, not because of our merits, but because of his immense love: He forgives, heals and restores. He takes pleasure in impossibilities. There is nothing difficult for him. The gospel reminds us that what is impossible for human beings is possible for God.

 

Prayer: Lord and celestial Father, you know our daily needs, work according to your will and glorify yourself in them. In Jesus. Amen.

LA POSIBILIDAD DE LO IMPOSIBLE

Mateo 9:28

Y la gente, al verlo, se maravilló y  glorificó a Dios, que había dado tal potestad a los hombres

Mateo 9: 8

            Dios obra en las imposibilidades. Para Él nunca es demasiado tarde. Si lo que nos parece imposible se le lleva a Él con fe plena, la imposibilidad se convierte en realidad para la gloria del Señor.

            Aunque en nuestra vida haya habido desastres, rebeldía, incredulidad y  pecado,  nunca es demasiado tarde para acudir al Padre . Dios puede restituir…los años que comió la langosta (Job 2: 25) Y Él hará  esto cuando nos pongamos en   Sus manos, cuando pongamos nuestra confianza y creamos en Su promesa de salvación.

            Dios hace esto, no por nuestros méritos, sino por Su inmenso amor: perdona, cura y restituye.  Él se complace en las imposibilidades. No hay nada difícil para Él. El evangelio nos recuerda que lo que es imposible al ser humano, es posible para Dios.

 

 

Oración: Señor y Padre celestial, tú conoces nuestras necesidades cotidianas, obra conforme a tu voluntad y glorifícate en ellas. Por Jesús. Amén.
