REIGN OF PEACH AND JUSTICE

Isaiah 11:1-10

Righteousness shall be the belt around his waist

Isaiah11:5a (NRSV)

When we look at the world today and see the consequences of our sinful nature, the war in Ukraine, the assaults, the disappearances, the violence in communities, it can be all too easy to despair that nothing will ever change. But the prophet Isaiah gives us hope for a different world; A place where the wolf will lie down with the lamb and no harm will occur.

God prepares the roots so that hope may spring up in a new shoot.

This peaceful kingdom will only be possible when the knowledge of the Lord fills the earth. When we walk together and come together as God's people, a people who follow Isaiah with bare feet, who invites us to embrace and protect each other with love.

 

Prayer: Lord, fill me with hope and remind me today that hope is an unwavering lifeline, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

REINADO DE PAZ Y JUSTICIA

Isaías 11:1-10

Siempre irá revestido de justicia y verdad.

Isaias11:5

Cuando miramos el mundo de hoy y vemos las consecuencias de nuestra naturaleza pecaminosa, la guerra en Ucrania, los asaltos, las desapariciones, la violencia en las comunidades, puede ser demasiado fácil desesperar de que nada cambiará nunca. Pero el profeta Isaias nos da la esperanza de un mundo diferente; un lugar donde el lobo se acostará con el cordero y no se producirá ningún daño.

Dios prepara las raices para que brote en un nuevo retoño la esperanza.

Este reino pacifico sólo será posible cuando el conocimiento del Señor llene la tierra. Cuando caminemos juntos y nos unamos como pueblo de Dios, un pueblo que sigue a Isaias con los pies descalzos, que nos invita a abrazarnos y protegernos con amor.

 

Oración: Señor, lléname de esperanza y dame un recordatorio hoy de que la esperanza es una linea de vida inquebrantable. Por Jesucristo nuestro Señor. Amén
