THE POWER OF FAITH

Matthew 8: 5-11

When Jesus heard him, he was amazed and said to those who followed him, “Truly I tell you, in no one in Israel have I found such faith . . . .”

Matthew 8: 10 (NRSV)

The word FAITH in the New Testament describes faith in God, faith in Christ. By faith they were healed during the healing ministry of Jesus Christ, blind, lame, demon-possessed people, paralyzed, the woman who touched the garment of Jesus. Innumerable were the miracles performed by Him and all were accomplished through the faith shown by all those people.

Faith is strong evidence that Christ’s teachings are true, and that through His death on the cross we are saved.

To have faith is to put all our trust in Christ, it is to depend completely on Him. When we do good works, they are visible proofs of true faith. What can we do to strengthen our faith?

●          Read the Bible which is God’s Word.

●          Pray without wavering.

●          Place our gifts at the service of God and of his Church.

 

Prayer: Lord, humbly I ask you to give me true faith, faith that never dies. Amen.

EL PODER DE LA FE.

Mateo 8: 5-11

Jesús dijo a los que seguían: de cierto os digo que ni aún en Israel he hallado tanta fe.

Mateo 8: 10

La palabra FE en el Nuevo Testamento describe la fe en Dios, fe en Cristo. Por fe fueron sanados durante el ministerio de sanidad de Jesucristo, ciegos, cojos, personas endemoniadas, paralíticos, la mujer que tocó el manto de Jesús. Innumerables fueron los milagros realizados por Él y todos se lograron a través de la fe que mostraron todas esas personas.

La fe es una evidencia fuerte de que las enseñanzas de Cristo son ciertas, y que por medio de su muerte en la cruz somos salvos.

Tener fe es poner toda nuestra confianza en Cristo, es depender completamente de Él. Cuando realizamos buenas obras son pruebas visibles de una fe verdadera. ¿Qué hacer para fortalecer nuestra fe?

●          Leer la Biblia que es Palabra de Dios.

●          Orar sin desmayar

●          Poner nuestros dones espirituales al servicio de Dios y su Iglesia.

 

Oración: Señor te pido con humildad que me ayudes a alcanzar la fe verdadera, la que nunca muere. Amén.
